  • Learning At A BEP Vending Business

In this episode of iCantCU, I talk about working at a Business Enterprise Program vending business at a massive US Post Office distribution facility in Northeast Philadelphia. • My Commute On The Reefer Madness Express

In this episode of iCantCU, I talk about my commute on a different rail line, which was very interesting. I also talk about accessibility testing of a bank's website that didn't go as planned. It had more to do with the app used to do the testing than the website itself. I also talk about Amazon Smiles to benefit the NFB of PA. I couldn't believe that some people were against it. And there are a couple of blind bodega stories as well.

Testing Accessibility Of Citadel Credit Union's Website

After our August Keystone Chapter meeting, we did accessibility testing of Citadel Credit Union's website (https://www.citadelbanking.com/). The testing was frustrating for most of us, but it was due to the app we used to capture our responses more than the bank's website. The app, User Testing, was not fully accessible and created most, if not all, of the problems.

What I Am Hoping To Buy On Prime Day

I want a portable audio recorder like the Zoom H1n (https://amzn.to/3c3rAek) or something similar. I'm also looking at GoPro Hero10 bundles (https://amzn.to/3nOEf7E). I might also be tempted by the RodeCaster Pro 2 (https://amzn.to/3yUyCex). I'm sure this list will expand by 7/12.

    White Canes Connect Podcast

In episode 040 of White Canes Connect, Lisa and I speak with Trish Maunder and Katherine Allen from Philly Touch Tours about how they train museum staff how to help blind and visually impaired visitors get the most out of their time in the museum. • You Can't Trust This Process

In this episode of the iCantCU Podcast, I talk about a couple of issues I had while working at the blind bodega (called Grab and Go in the Business Enterprise Program.) I've worked retail for most of my life, starting when I was 10 or 11 at one of my parent's supermarkets. I also discuss a weird iPhone issue while dictating an email.
