 is an extra good thing that makes an already good situation even better.

Examples;

1- He already loved the new apartment — the location was perfect and the space was beautiful. When he discovered the balcony with a view of the park, that was the icing on the cake.

2- Learning English can already open many doors. But when you start connecting with people from different cultures through the language, that can feel like the icing on the cake.
