On April 5, 2025, 23-year-old Dinari McAlmont from Bowie, Maryland, was found dead on the shoreline of Paradise Island in the Bahamas, just hours after arriving for a family vacation at the Atlantis Paradise Island resort. According to his mother, Michelle McAlmont, resort officials accused her son of spitting on staff, an allegation she could not confirm. The Royal Bahamas Police Force announced that an autopsy revealed McAlmont died from drowning and stated that they do not suspect foul play at this time, although they are awaiting toxicology results. However, McAlmont’s parents strongly disagree with the findings, citing visible bruises and alleged signs of physical trauma indicating he was beaten.
