The Idaho Wildlife Federation has managed to make conservation a priority issue in Idaho politics through a significant victory stemming from a gubernatorial forum they held and actually raising hunting license fees to generate more funding for conservation. Brian Brooks, IWF's executive director, sits down with us to talk about how the Idaho Wildife Federation pulled it off, how they work with partner organizations across the state for conservation, how Brian got into hunting, what happens to duck feet if you pull on them, why keeping public land public matters so much in a red state like Idaho, and why conservation needs funding to win.
