Hello. I think reintroducing myself is a good idea. Lately, I’ve been sitting down and thinking a lot more about myself and who I want to be. I invite you to sit with me and discuss it for a few minutes.

An open letter to my depression. Please talk to someone.

Following the theme of love and building relationships, we will be discussing the realities of love in adulthood. This episode will look at Alain Le Botton’s discussion on "Why we marry the wrong person?" To understand why we may choose the wrong partner, comprising without compromising ourselves, and having realistic expectations. Stay tuned for the discussion.

This episode will be a meeting of both black history month and Valentine’s Day. Black love is diverse, it assumes different forms and carries a variety of meanings. For Black women in particular, the understanding of love and its expression can be complex. This discussion will centre around: how do we define and identify love? How does our race affect the way we internalize and accept love? Stay tuned for the discussion.

This is my first solo episode in a while, I hope I don't bore you. The past few months have been hectic and chaotic but I am grateful nonetheless. This episode will specifically explore gratitude as a tool to fight anxiety: What is gratitude? Who should we be grateful for? Why is the universe the most giving and selfish entity? This episode will focus on the angry black girl stereotype. For many black women the word “angry” is weaponized to label any expression of intense emotion. Sometimes we’re not angry; we’re passionate. Passionate about the causes we love, in expression the things that hurt us and the things we believe in. We are now at the end of the 3 part Fright Night Series. For the last episode we will be examining Monophobia or the fear of being alone. Loneliness can be a life long fear that takes years to conquer and it can impact the ways we form and maintain relationships. This week’s discussion will cover: why are we so uncomfortable being alone? How to raise an only child and how does loneliness appear in motherhood. One of the fears held by people this generation is the fear of getting older. All the things that make up getting older are scary and uncertain but it is inevitable. This week’s episode is about trying to manage the fear of growing up and understand how best to embrace it. For mother’s the concept of motherhood can be new and terrifying even if you aren’t a first time mom. This week we will be looking at: How do mother’s get past that fear? At times it can feel like we are given an imaginary “happiness peak” that can sometimes seem unattainable. We can feel restless and dissatisfied with our accomplishments.
