This discussion was a welcomed surprise because when I reached out to Councilmember Richards to have an interview, I didn't know that he was serving his community in this capacity.  I learned so much from his unique perspective being a Black man in America.  You will be encouraged!

When I started this podcast, I thought it would be great to talk to inspirational people and learn from their stories.  The events of the past week have forced all of us to look inward, and examine thought-patterns and fears that we have as individuals. We have been shown the need to change, and now are given the opportunity to be a source of change in this country.  This week has also forced us to use empathy more than we ever have.
