Welcome to Full Moon Women, a show about the inner lives of women. We publish episodes as couplets. The first episode of each month is a personal story from a woman’s inner life. The follow-up episode is a conversation with someone who brings greater context – and hopefully greater appreciation – for the storytelling woman’s story. “I am the Thundercloud” is an interview with award-winning writer and director Robin Cloud. It’s connected to Mina’s story (episode 04).
Robin Cloud’s first narrative short, “Out Again,” screened at film festivals throughout the world. It asks the question: what if you had to live your coming-out experience over and over again?
Robin’s docu-series, “Passing: A Family in Black & White” premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2019.
In 2020, Robin wrote and directed This Old House, which premiered on Hulu as part of their Bite-Size Halloween Series.
Robin has been featured in The New York Times, The LA Times, The Washington Post, Diva Magazine, and GO magazine’s “Top 100 Women We Love,”
Cloud is a 2021 Alliance for Women Directors Black Directors Advancement Initiative Fellow, a 2017 Kickstarter Creative Fellow, and a graduate of Lena Waithe's Hillman Grad mentee program.
She graduated cum laude from Howard University's School of Communications.
