Al Gilbert | Missions Conference 2021 | Saturday Night
At the recent SWO Missions Conference, Al Gilbert walked through what being a disciple really looks like. Christ makes us into something entirely different—someone who resembles His character rather than our flesh. This doesn’t mean that you’ll be perfect or won’t ever make a mistake.
"It’s about direction, not perfection." – Al Gilbert
If you’re not being changed, you might not be following Christ. He makes us more like Him and we’re called to be on mission with Him. Let’s care more about His mission than our own. How can the Lord use you right now to advance the Gospel? The harvest is abundant but the workers are few. We’re called to share the hope we have with lost souls. Seek opportunities to help people around you who are hurting. Don’t do it to impress them but to love them well.
We don’t need to make the world a better place before people go to hell. The Son of Man came “to seek and to save the lost.” Ask the Lord to help you see hurting people around you and prepare you to go anywhere for His glory.
