The Mason County Master Gardeners are presenting the 2021 "Through The Garden Gate Series" from February 6 - March 6 with topics that include; Secrets to Soil, Niche Gardens, Gardens For Mind Body And Soul, You "Can" Grow Vegetables and finally, Managing Garden Pests & Weeds. Mason County Sheriff Casey Salisbury called into Daybreak to talk about the legislative session. Sheriff Salisbury talked about the legislative session and helping WSP if needed, what the session may hold for police reform and Mason County Sheriffs Office goals for 2021. Under the new regional "Roadmap to Recovery" the Shelton Athletic Club is able to reopen by appointment only. Randy Smith calls into Daybreak to talk about the reopening and the struggles since COVID. Masks are required, bring your own water bottle, no group classes. You will be provided with a disinfectant spray bottle to clean anything you touch.

City of Shelton Councilmember Joe Schmit called into Daybreak to talk about this weeks council meeting where the topic of Workforce Housing Development and a plan to bring 400 homes to Shelton.

Dave Windom, Director of Mason County Public Health, called in to explain the new "Roadmap to Recovery" plan that Governor Inslee has laid out and starts on Monday, January 11.

Karin Leaf from the Mason County EDC came on Daybreak for an update, presented by Mason County PUD 3. Topics include the EDC efforts to save jobs and inject funds into the county. The other topic was a series of webinars that are available for free. There are a wide range of topics that could help any business owner.

During the Sheriff Sit-Down, presented by Our Community Credit Union, Mason County Sheriff Casey Salisbury and Public Health Director Dave Windom called in to talk to the Daybreak show. They talk first about the flooding that has been going on around the county and after that an update on COVID-19.

A conversation on chimney safety recorded before Christmas, Mason County Fire District 4 Chief Bob Burbridge came on Daybreak to talk about being safe using your chimney this winter season.

Mason County Fire District 4 Assistant Chief Linda Jenkins came on Daybreak to give some tips on fall prevention and keeping yourself and people in your home safe.
