Kaitlyn and Heather's topic for this episode comes from last week's, "Check it Out" found in Peer Magazine. Together, they discuss what overthinking has looked like in their lives and provide tips on how to combat the negative spiral of caring too much of what others think of us.
Two quotes to go along with the topic include one from author and motivational speaker, Rachel Hollis: "Other people's opinion of you is none of your business." And the second is from Sylvia Plath that states: "My mother said the cure for thinking too much about yourself was helping somebody who was worse off than you."
A great way to get out of our own head is by serving others. We also have the opportunity to change the story we tell ourselves. Every day is a new opportunity to be who God has called us to be. We can choose to let go of the past by reminding ourselves of 2 Corinthians 5:17 "If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation."
Today's verse to meditate on is Ephesians 2:19-22, "Whenever you feel unloved, unimportant, or insecure, remember to whom you belong to."
