What, and how much should we be compromising in a relationship and what should we discard immediately 

Manifest the relationship that you want by setting your intention, making up your mind and sticking to the rules. Don't play yourself and blame the other person. 

Many people say they are afraid of failure but a lot of people are unconsciously afraid to succeed. Do you subconsciously have the fear of success?

Here are the Main differences I have noticed when leaving religion and becoming more spiritual. 

A lot of us do not think that we could ever become victims of brainwashing and mind control but in fact may already be under the spell of another without knowing. Religious, spiritual and cult leaders often use mind control and brainwashing techniques on their followers without the follower realising that their thought processes are being influenced. 

DO NOT even waste your time. If a person is wicked, there is no redemption for them, take it at face value and never wait for a "change" that may never come. We can only go by what we have already seen and that is abuse, lies, manipulation. When someone shows you who they are...Believe them. 

We cannot sit down and just let life happen to us. We have got to take it by the horn and create favourable situations for ourselves. Life favours the brave. Life will be you down but you have to fight back. 

A lot of people have a hard time letting go of religious/ spiritual beliefs they have been taught from a young age and will often  claim to have a faith or religion as a sort spiritual insurance just incase what they have been taught becomes true and they are likely to suffer the consequences although they may truely believe the beliefs they previously held are false.

How many times do we abandon ourselves by overriding the way we feel to be loved and accepted? We are willing to make ourselves uncomfortable for the comfort of somebody else.
