This audience here is suspecting an inside job when a building management impose new regulations on short term stay operators. Personally, I would actually do the same for several reasons:
1. To only allow qualified operators because currently there is no qualification nor license required to run unit operators
2. It's requires lots of resources to control the security and liaise against so many different operators
3. A high deposit amount at least qualifies the operators and that amount provides certainty to repair or maintain the common areas
The only reason of upset might be the different terms and conditions discussed with individual operators. But it's just like the security company, landscape company, cleaning company, maintenance work company... For the time being, the building management team has the ultimate say. Owners are only upset when it hurts their investment ROI.
Therefore, for inexperienced buyers... Please reconsider such typology of projects as for first one.
