  • Effective Communication

    Effective communication is the bridge that allows ones message to be heard, it is the bridge that highlights the main points of an argument or a debate and lay down the foundation of progress. Without effective communication, our opinions, our ideas, and our visions remain hidden. The same words that spell silent is the same words that urges us to listen. Everyone communicate in different ways. Some takes 10 minutes to respond, some takes 3 hours to respond, and some takes a day or two to fully digest information received from one end before responding. One thing we can all agree on is that everyone has their own time and clock. When your time comes, how effectively would you communicate so that you are not misunderstood or misquoted?   • Impeccable
    Impeccable comes from the Latin word pecatus, which means “sin”, so impeccable means “without sin”. I don’t mean this in a religious sense; however, I mean this in terms of exemplary. To be impeccable with your words in this context is taking responsibilities for your actions, but you do not blame or judge yourself. To replace seeds of fear in your mind, you have to be impeccable with your words to generate seeds of love. Like the double edge sword that has two sides that can cause damage or create something beautiful, so are the choice of words we use. Some words can propel you to reach your goals and some words can break you and hold you in bondage. When you are impeccable with your words good things will happen to you because you emit positive energy. And when you are not impeccable with your words, you will continue to stay where you are because misery likes company. Be a person of impeccable character of your words, so that you can reap what you sowed, stay healthy and look forward to a better day.

  • Ikigai: That which gives you life worth
    Ikigai is a Japanese concept that combines the terms iki, which means “life” or “alive”, and gai, meaning “value” or “benefit.”. When combined, it means “a reason for being.” I was drawn to this concept because of the parts that comes together to create this beautify imagery that we all can relate to in all walks of life. When you forget your why, you get lost in the midst of all the chaos. Finding your ikigai can be as easy as just stopping yourself throughout the day and asking yourself: why am I doing this?

  • The Beauty of Family
    What is family to you? If someone asks you to define family in your own words what would you say? Everyone’s definition of family may be different. To some, it’s their parents and siblings. Those that are fortunate enough to have the love and support of family sometimes takes it for granted. There's a saying that you never know the value of something till you lose it. Life is too short, and every moment is a moment to create lasting memories that will be with you forever. There’s a special family that is beyond DNA. It’s a type of family that you can truly count on knowing that they will tell you the truth even when the truth is something that you don’t want to hear. This type of family is a friendship you build with someone that transcends blood. My mom used to say the first thought is an idea, the second thought is your decision to make.

  • The Truth
    Learning is the beginning of life change. If you want to solve a problem you have to learn, if you want to grow, change, develop you have to learn. There is no short cut to success. Some people are motivated by fear, some are motivated by challenges and some are motivated by their loved ones. Find what motivates you that will keep you going when the going gets tough. Invest in your passions. Don’t trade who you are just because of what others want you to be. You can’t be what you can’t see.

  • Risk Taking
    Taking risk strengthens our brain muscles, taking risk heightens our senses and allow us to stay focus at the task at hand. To try is to push yourself, to try is to get yourself out of your comfort zone. If you are afraid to take risk, then your dream is just a dream. To get something you never had, you have to be willing to do something you never did. That means sacrificing your time and sleep, changing your daily routine and trying something different. Be an active force in your life. Be proactive and start, because when you do not start something, you can’t finish it. Our brain is highly adaptable to new ideas and new ways of doing things. By putting in the work, we give permission to our brain to form new connections. Live your life now because you deserve it.

  • Time is Currency

    Time is very precious, very delicate in a sense. Time includes the past, the present and the future. We learn from our past, so we don’t make the same mistakes, we learn from our past and look forward to the future, but the only time that is crucial is the present. The world is a lonely place without good family and friends to connect with. Any amount of time you can dedicate to helping others is time well spent. The pain that you experienced a decade ago is perhaps not the same pain you carry today, that is because a memory may hurt when it crosses your mind, but the importance of time manifests as an anesthetic.

    The growth mindset sees their vision in full reach and would sacrifice sleep to get there. Individuals with growth mindset will do everything in their power to see that their vision comes to past. No matter what the circumstances, they will keep moving forward even if it means crawling. The people we look up to see the bigger picture, works towards their vision and never gives up when the going gets tough.
