Specifically speaking, when you are living with someone. As if making the decision to move in with your boyfriend or girlfriend wasn't nerve-wracking enough. One topic, however, that couples often overlook in the excitement of their new adventure: money. This is unfortunate because nothings kills the romance faster than arguing about finances. A poorly planned move-in can put tremendous stress on your relationship, so it's best to smooth out the details ahead of time to avoid disagreements and hard feelings later. What if your trail at domestic bliss with your sweetheart turns sour? No matter how optimistic you are about your live-in arrangement, it's important for both you and your partner to protect your finances in case things just don't work. We are now entering new beginnings with a new President and new demands on society. With President Obama leaving the White House after eight years, we reflect on all the great things that he has accomplished under major scrutiny. We also look at what good he will bring in his post-presidential life, as it now begins to take shape. The crew discussed some of the major things he will be vested in to continue his journey for society and the world. As Donald Trump transitions, he has courted the African-American community heavily to discuss ways of engagement with the Black Community. The likes of Steve Harvey, Kanye West and former Baltimore Ravens player Ray Lewis, and Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr's son have all been spotted at Trump Tower. They each told reporters why they were there – to discuss policy matters important to them. In other words, they are ready to make a difference no matter if the president is Republican or Democrat. How do you feel about this? The crew dove deep into this topic! Do you think this is for "photo-op's" or genuine interest for all parties? Keeping in line with this sentiment, how much money do you have in your savings account? It’s not a trick question, but if you are like most Americans that answer is less than $500. A new study by Bankrate found a staggering 6 out of 10 Americans have a savings as little as $500. As a result, most are not prepared to handle a financial emergency. Is this true for you? It looks like another great biopic may be on the way. Bone Thugs-N-Harmony's story just may be headed to the big screen. Bon Thugs is apparently thinking about collaborating with their "uncle", the West Coast's own, Ice Cube, to bring their story to life. This would definitely be a MUST SEE! Some legacies are ending. Most importantly, President Obama will be leaving office...for that other guy. In other's, it may just be time for a change. Chris Brown and Soulja Boy are gearing up for a bloodbath in the ring, but for various reasons they can't pull it off in the U.S. ... so we've learned they're planning to fight it out in Dubai. Sources connected with both Chris and Soulja tell TMZ they genuinely dislike each other and each wants to beat the crap out of the other, but what they want more than anything is a huge paycheck by running the fight on Pay-Per-View...LET'S GET IT ON! World Star Hip Hop has become synonymous with real life behavior going viral online for years. Now, they will look to translate their magic to the small screen with a new show set to air on MTV2. The show is set to air February 3 at 11pm EST. Last but not least, the online classified website Backpage.com said it has suspended it adult ad pages, citing government pressure about the content being shared there. A 2016 Senate report called the website the "largest commercial sex services advertising platform in the United States" and said that "Backpage” officials have publicly acknowledged that criminals use the website for sex trafficking, including trafficking of minors. Around the world, Backpage also hosts advertisements for goods and services other than sex, including child care, housing and auto parts. As always, we have more where this comes from! Turning to the ratchet news, Chris Brown and Soulja Boy have started the first celebrity feud of 2017. Brown became infuriated with the rapper after he liked an Instagram picture of Brown’s ex-girlfriend, Karrueche Tran. Hopefully this won't get too out of hand, we'll see? Singer-songwriter, Trey Songz says he was recently ejected from the MGM National Harbor. Media outlets report the 32-year old Songz, says in an expletive-laced post on Instagram the he was playing cards at the Maryland casino Dec. 23 when a man nearby started "talking crazy" to him. He says his security detail approached the man, and MGM officials booted Songz and his crew from the casino, saying they were being "unruly." The incident didn't result in criminal charges. The New Year was also brought in with a "bang", to say the least with Mariah Cary as she was a show stopper during her New Year's Eve performance in Times Square, New York. This time, it wasn't her platinum vocals that captured global attention, but a rare musical meltdown in front of a live audience of millions on ABC's "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest". An audio track malfunction was reported while Carey was lip-syncing of some of her biggest songs onstage in front of a live audience of millions. Just moments before the ball dropped the five-time Grammy Award-winning artist's performance. We also covered 2017 Zodiac predictions. Sometimes, you take losses to gain more in the long run. Kanye for instance, has taken losses in many respects this year. However, he believes he has a gain when he met Donald Trump. He said, “I wanted to meet with Trump today to discuss multicultural issues. These issues included bullying, supporting teachers, modernizing curriculums, and violence in Chicago. I feel it is important to have a direct line of communication with our future President if we truly want change,” he noted. We'll see how far he gets with this? Meagan Good is headed back to TV in “Foxy Brown” Reboot. Good will play the classic character from the 1974 blaxploitation film, which was lost from the mainstream for a while. Tragically, Chicago has reached another bloody milestone. There have been 701 homicides recorded so far this year. This situation has been spiraling out of control and needs to be tended too quickly! We are most certainly losing to many people in general due to the violence in this city. Robin Thicke's dad, Allan Thicke from the hit show "Growing Pains" died suddenly at 69. The actor had a heart attack while he was playing hockey with one of his sons. Our heart goes out to the Thicke family. Grammy-award winning gospel singer and pastor Shirley Caesar found herself back in the spotlight after a sermon that she delivered in 2010 gave birth to the viral #UNameItChallenge. At first, Caesar seemed to be embracing all of the attention, but now she has now decided to take legal action. In the studio, we had Nigerian Afro/Hip-Hop artist "ShoyBoy Musica". Nigerian/American recording artist --Shoboy, is making strong waves within the United States of America. Shoboy is an Afro/hip-hop/reggae artiste with hot songs in his debut CD “Hello World”. In the news this week, some issues where being "TRUMPED" for lack of better words. To start, according to Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton is a sore loser and even worse, a hypocrite because she's now challenging the results of the election. Trump is referring to Clinton's attack after he said during the third presidential debate he was non-committal on challenging the results of the election. Clinton called Trump's hedge "a direct threat to our democracy. Clinton has joined Green Party candidate Jill Stein's recount effort in several key states that went for Trump. What do you think? Want to boycott all things Donald Trump? Get excited, because there's an app for that! The Democratic Coalition Against Trump has created an app called Boycott Trump that offers its users an organized list of all the companies that have ties to Donald Trump’s empire. The Boycott Trump app is available in iTunes and Google Play. Is 2016 the best year ever for Black cinema? Some say the golden age of Black cinema was in the 1990s. After all, with films like Love Jones, Boyz N the Hood, Daughters of the Dust, Menace II Society, The Best Man, Waiting to Exhale, Get on the Bus, Slam, The Five Heartbeats, Eve’s Bayou. While the 1970s were ruled by heroes like Cleopatra Jones, Shaft, Truck Tuner and Foxy Brown, and the 1990s offered a fuller picture of Black life, lately Hollywood ain’t been no crystal stair for filmmakers of color - thoughts? A Muslim woman has become the first to compete in the Miss Minnesota USA pageant while fully clothed. Halima Aden (19 yrs old) made the semifinals of the competition over the weekend while wearing a hijab. She also wore a full-body outfit called a burkini during the swimsuit competition. This seems to be the season of ranting, from entertainment to politics, everyone has something to say; seemingly in a not so gracious way. For instance, Kanye West was hospitalized and admitted as rapper Jim Jones. This new development evolved after West, 39 stated that he "would've voted for Donald Trump". After that, the rapper dissed Beyonce and Jay Z, demanding that his one-time rap partner call him, but not kill him?? As a result, Kanye has since canceled the remaining 21 tour dates of Saint Pablo tour. Something to rave about, legendary Hip-Hop act, A Tribe Called Quest Sets Record For Longest Gap Between #1 Albums For A Hip Hop Act. "We Got It from Here...Thank You 4 Your Service is expected to be the final LP. Congrats to those guys - RIP Phife Dawg! In more coonery...BET co-founder, Bob Johnson described his recent meeting with Donald Trump, admitting that he was encouraged by Trump’s commitment in reaching out to African Americans. He said that they discussed a number of issues that if implemented will demonstrate that African-American’s have something to gain by establishing a common ground with President Elect Donald Trump; go figure. The "Hamilton" star who read a message from the stage to Vice President-elect Mike Pence says the cast has "nothing to apologize for" -- despite President-elect Donald Trump's angry tweets. "We recognize that 'Hamilton' is an inherently American story told by the definition of the American community," Dixon said, adding that the show's resonance "demands that we make statements when there are important issues, I think, facing us as a community." Should we end Electoral College, go to popular vote? Donald Trump won the presidency after narrowly carrying a few states to put him above 270 electoral votes. But according to the latest numbers, Hillary Clinton won the popular vote. The game is rigged. In other words, we have a similar situation as in 2000 - where the candidate who won more voters picked did not become president. It is unfair, undemocratic & we must eliminate the Electoral College. The developers of the Hip Hop Hall of Fame have presented the design concept for the forthcoming facility in Manhattan. The Hip-Hop hall of Fame + Museum and Entertainment Complex is set to include the hall of Fame, the hall of Fame, museum, 5-star hotel, retail stores, gift shop, arcade, TV studios, sports bar, restaurant, and concert lounge. The next phase will include making preparations for completing the exterior and interior design infrastructure process for a projected 2019-2020 grand opening. Congrats goes out to Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson for being People Magazine’s first Black “Sexiest Man Alive” in 20 years. HORAY! Bounce TV To Bring Back ‘Cosby Show’ Reruns. Bounce TV has announced in social media posts that it will resume airing reruns of the 1980s sitcom on Dec. 19. The 79-year-old Cosby has pleaded not guilty to the sexual assault charge in Pennsylvania, where he is scheduled to go on trial by June. He has also generally denied allegations of unwanted sexual contact from dozens of other women.
