Hello Sweet Souls and welcome back to Week 6 of the podcast Summer Series with your host Krista Xiomara, who has created a free 8-Week learning course called "Releasing Religion, Inner Healing, and Coming Home to Yourself." Week 6 is about Finding Your Truth. When we are birthed into our religion of origin we are not given the opportunity or space to connect with ourselves and decipher what is true about us and the world around us. Often times, we are told that we are born inherently flawed through original sin. We are taught from an early age what to think, what to feel, what to believe, how to act, what to fear, and what to love. Finding your Truth, is an unbecoming and unraveling of yourself to uncover the truth about yourself so that you can connect more deeply with yourself and your connection to all that there is.
This week my focus is to help you:

Welcome back sweet souls to Week 3 of the Summer Series: "Releasing Religion, Inner Healing, and Coming Home to Yourself." Week 3 is centered around Embracing Uncertainty. Growing up in a strict Catholic home and community; my religious experience indoctrinated within me a strong sense of certainty, about everything. In religious experiences you are given a lot of absolutes and a lot of certainty. You know what your life is supposed to be, who you are supposed to love, what you are supposed to believe (and not believe), who you are supposed to marry, you know "right and wrong" and you know (usually without a shadow of doubt) what will happen to you when you die if you lived a "good" life. This week my focus is to help you embrace the uncertainty of:

Welcome back to Week 2 of the Summer Series: "Releasing Religion, Inner Healing, and Coming Home to Yourself" with your host Krista Xiomara Week 2 is all about Doubt and Walking Away from your religion of origin. Krista Xiomara discusses the process of beginning to doubt what you are taught and how questioning is a healthy step in the process of walking away. She navigates the listeners through examples of how doubt began to arise in her religious experience. She shares a wounding story that took her away from herself and how this particular moment in her church community taught her to be dishonest in the face of a community that was preaching honesty in parallel. This is one of many contradictions she would confront in her life with Catholicism. She provides practical steps to walk away, ideas for what kind of support you may need and reminds the listener to trust themselves along the whole process.
