They always say when you start running that your shouldn't look back. You shouldn't look over your shoulder and see the things you left behind. Finding a journal from close to ten years ago I re-acquainted myself with a version of me i have long since tried to forget. But without looking back you won't be able to see how far you have came. Take those resting spots, take those over the shoulder peeks once in awhile. Because when you do, it gives you the courage to keep going.

What do the relationships around you look like? Are they poisoning your sense of worth? Are they full filling you? Are they making sure that you are being taken care of too? If you can't answer yes to any of those then it's time to rethink those relationships.

What do you do when all you are left holding is fragments of the person that you used to be? How do you take what's left over and create something new with it? Being in pieces doesn't mean that you are broken. Being in pieces mean you get to create a whole new picture.

What do your apologies mean? Are they half hearted? Do you mean the words you say? When do you stop apologizing? This is for the ones who knows that you have bent more than you should have. That every apology that more than enough was one less apology to yourself.

Everything has a cost right? Why would healing be any different? I am here to tell you that it is going to cost you. The price is up to you. The price of what you have to let go is in your hands. Do you want to hurt to heal? Or are you going to heal the hurt because the latter is possible. The latter is possible with the right people in your life as long as you let them.
