Welcome back! This is Episode 13 of I’m Not Mad … I’m Pissed!
Inauguration 2021! Donald Trump is no longer President of the United States. As happy as I am for Joe Biden, I’m MORE happy about the fact that he is no longer our president. I have waited for this day for four long years. Seriously. I am not exaggerating. It was a dark day when Donald Trump was sworn in and he didn’t take long to be the trash president I always thought he was going to be. But It’s A New Day! I’ve opened my eyes and the path is clearer! (Shout out to Patti Labelle)
I give a pretty deep dive into the inauguration, what it means for us as a country, what it means for me personally and what I am looking forward to most from the Biden Administration. There is a lot of work to be done and so far, they are off to a fast start. However, the world won’t be changed by Executive Order alone. Biden will have to work with Congress to really tackle the issues we are facing as a nation, but thankfully he has the experience to do so and a pretty bad-ass number 2 by his side. Expectations are high!
Oh, and we are giving flowers to Ms. Amanda Gorman’s, whose poem gave voice to the feelings of a nation! Stand up and take a bow young Queen. Oh, and Ted Cruz is still trash!

Welcome back! This is Episode 12 of I’m Not Mad … I’m Pissed!
2021 has gotten off to a roaring start. New Congress, Who This? Even though there is nothing but drama on Capitol Hill, we’re starting off the new year by celebrating the good news coming out of Georgia. By winning BOTH Senate Run-Off Elections, the Democrats will officially have control of both the House and Senate when Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are sworn in on January 20th. You know what that means? NO MORE MITCH! While he may not technically be politically dead, being the minority leader is a far cry from being the majority leader and holding up every bill Democrats pass in the House. No more Bill Blocking.
The other big news of the week forced me to pivot mid-prep of my show and instead of talking about the Electoral College Certification, we have to address why America continues to be TRASH. This country cannot have nice things. Let me tell you why. RACISM.
Not letting our first episode end on a sour note, we show love and give flowers to Stacey Abrams and the other black women of Georgia that led the charge in turning that state Blue. What can we learn from their efforts?

Growing up, if someone called you a punk, it was kind of like slapping your mama. You had to fight them. Your entire reputation was at stake. So, you know this week I wanted all the smoke. And I’ve got a little for everyone. I don’t like the direction this country is headed and there is plenty of blame to go around. The GOP need to do something about their house. Democrats on the other hand, have to focus on the big picture. Petty squabbles help no one, besides, the celebration shouldn’t be over already. One would think after Biden’s win, folks would come together to get the train back on the tracks. But, this is America. What the #@$!$ was I thinking?

Welcome back! This is Episode 10 of I’m Not Mad … I’m Pissed!
Ding Dong the witch is dead! Let all of the little munchkins know the streets are safe, they can come out of hiding! OK, maybe not, but that was the feeling so many of us got when after 4 days of, “will he won’t he, will he won’t he” the election was finally called for Joseph R. Biden. There is a lot to recap and a lot to go over. We won’t be able to do it all in this episode. This is just part 1 of our post-election coverage. From highlighting the reluctant media to the ass-backwards polling, in this episode we want to go into what shaped this election and how right WE were in predicting the outcome (I told y’all it would be 306-232 for Biden)!
There are a lot of congratulations and kudos to go around for the efforts carried out by the people on the ground who are the ones responsible for this win. And make no mistake about it, just because Biden won doesn’t mean the nightmare, or the work, is over. The election is not the end. It’s just the beginning. The real work begins now

While we wait for the results to finalize, I want to have a heart-to-heart with black men. Now that Lil Wayne has come out in support of Donald Trump and Trump is now targeting ads at black men to sway them in his direction, we need to have a heart to heart about what we’re really trying to do. When Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg passed away last month, it set off a chain of events that is likely to have an impact on our lives for a generation. We went from a court with a slim 5-4 conservative majority and one of the most liberal justices ever; to a court that now has a 6-3 conservative majority and one of the most conservative justices the court has seen in some time. On this episode, we pay our respects to RBG and draw a contrast between her tenure and the ideology of her successor.
