The THQ published game was released on September 10, 2002 for the Nintendo GameBoy Advanced, on November 21, 2002 for the Sony Playstation 2, and on December 18, 2002 for the Nintendo Gamecube. The Gamecube and PS2 versions of the game was developed by BigSky Interactive, while the GBA version was developed by Vicarious Visions.

Ahoy maties! Captain Eric here hot off of the recently released fan film "The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie Rehydrated" and my experiences with the project behind the scenes! This project was started more than 2 years ago by a group of fans coming together with an idea, and idea to honor the life and career of SpongeBob SquarePants creator Stephen Hillenburg. Two years later, the project premiered on the 23rd birthday of SpongeBob only to be hit wrongfully with a copyright strike a bit into it's live premiere, prompting a fan outcry online under the hashtag #JusticeForSpongeBob. Hours after trending online and the movie made it's way right back onto YouTube!

This special episode goes over how I became involved with the project, my contributions, a little behind the scenes information on my work, and a thank you or two,,,or three for the cast and crew behind the project!
