In week 10 of our Gospel of John study Pastor Lee Woodmansee covers the first half of John 10. In This session LeeWood talked about the connections between John 8-10. Jesus' third and fourth "I am" statements were explored, as well as one of Jesus' more well known statements in John 10:10.

In the ninth week of our study of the Gospel of John Pastor Lee Woodmansee explains John 8. In this heated chapter we see Jesus having a showdown with a crowd that turns into a mob. By seeing Jesus' interaction with the mob we are left with the understanding that Jesus confronted hypocrisy with truth and didn't back down when threatened.

In the eighth week of our Gospel of John Study Lee Woodmansee closes out the remainder of John 6:22-71. By taking a step back and looking at all that has happened in John 6 we begin to see the grander narrative that John is recording for us. The comparisons between Jesus and Moses continue to mount, and Jesus' supremacy continue to shine through. LeeWood walks us through how Jesus' hard sayings to the crowd, and their unwillingness to simply place their faith in him, leads to their eventual departure from following him. The same gauntlet of faith has been laid down before us as well.

In this seventh week of our study of the Gospel of John Pastor LeeWood discusses the only scene outside of the resurrection that is described in all four Gospel accounts: the feeding of the five thousand. LeeWood sets about describing how John is intentionally sprinkling details into this account that are meant to draw our attention towards Moses, the Passover, the crossing of the Red Sea, and the manna in the wilderness. And John does this to show us just how much more glorious Jesus is than Moses.

In the 6th week of our study of the Gospel of John Pastor LeeWood addresses John 5:1-30. LeeWood talks of how this text provides for us the next phase in John's account of Jesus life that represents a series of increasing conflicts between chapters 5-10. By looking at Jesus' healing of the invalid on the Sabbath, his statements to the Jews, and Jesus' clear claims we are brought to a point where we must decide if we believe that Jesus' claims to divinity are correct.

In the fifth week of our study of John Pastor Lee Woodmansee covers the entirety of chapter 4. LeeWood details how John chapter 4 is meant to be read in conjunction with John chapters 2 and 3. By comparing Nicodemus and the woman at the well, and looking at the Gentile official at the end of John 4, LeeWood shows how John was detailing Jesus' worldwide plan of salvation being worked out in real time.
