Immanuel Christian Reformed Church - Hudsonville, Michigan

Pastor Jake continues with Mark chapter 9.  After Jesus comes down from the mount of transfiguration, He casts out a demon from a boy - proving again that with everything is possible for those who truly believe in Him.

Mark chapter 9 tells us about the transfiguration of Jesus Christ, and the parallels between Jesus, Elijah, and Moses.

Pastor Jake teaches Mark chapter 8, and we see how the disciples come to understand that Jesus is the Messiah - and what that really means.

Now that the disciples understand that Jesus is the Messiah, they begin to learn how God's plan of salvation will come to pass.

Finally the disciples, led by Peter, finally realize that Jesus is the Messiah!

Today, Pastor Jake shows us how the disciples are still struggling to really understand that Jesus is the Messiah.

Mark 8 serves as the turning point in the gospel of Mark - when the disciples begin to truly realize that Jesus is more than a teacher.

In Mark chapter 7, Jesus ministry continues to grow - facing resistance from the Jewish people, and being sought out by the Gentiles.

Today, Pastor Jake looks at the end of Mark chapter 7 to review how Jesus purifies and redeems all of us.

Pastor Jake continues to explain how the rules of cleanliness and purity have changed now in Jesus' kingdom.
