We’re exploring a nonprofit using tech to connect skilled refugees with jobs. Joining me is the CTO and co-founder John Cameron. Talent Beyond Boundaries helps, as their website puts it, unlock skilled migration pathways for refugees. But John doesn’t come from an immigration law background - he was actually an innovator in the financial tech space first. John had an illustrious career building tech in the financial sector and launched, grew, and sold two companies before really shifting his energy into supporting the refugee crisis. Here’s what we’ll talk about:

Today we’re diving into relocation tech with my guest Nitesh Mehrotra, CEO, and founder of SixWallz. SixWallz is working to democratize relocation services by helping employees moving to a new city for work find the perfect neighborhood. How do they do this? They leverage data from the real estate, relocation, and HR industries to provide “instant neighborhood & home recommendations to applicants & relocating employees.” As often happens in the tech space, Nitesh experienced moving first hand, saw a problem, and with his co-founder, launched SixWallz to solve THEIR problem! So, here’s what we’ll be speaking about today:
Nitesh’s early life and how he got interested in computer science, What Nitesh worked on in college & grad school as a computer science major, Nitesh’s experience working in technology in the early 2000s, Nitesh’s long career at Cisco, and his experience in the Mobility group, How the idea for SixWallz came about and the first steps Nitesh took, SixWallz’s growth throughout the years and where they are today, The future of the company and Nitesh’s vision for the future of the industry, and more!

My guest is someone who is truly disrupting the human side of international mobility: Lynn Greenberg, co-founder and CEO of Pivt! Pivt is a social app geared towards relocated, mobile and remote employees - folks moving across the world to take on new, exciting work opportunities. Those international opportunities, however, can come at a cost. Indeed, relocated employees often move home sooner than expected, abandon their international assignment, and at times quit altogether. In part because they have no social network or support system in their new host city! Enter Pivt, which was born out of Lynn’s own experience living and working abroad. So, here’s what we’ll be speaking about today::

Join my discussion with Elena Antoneac, CEO and founder of xpath.global, all the way from Romania!! Elena started her career in HR and global mobility, and then in 2013 founded Nestlers, a boutique law firm focused on immigration, global mobility and employment based in Romania & Moldova. She slowly started to realize that there wasn’t an easy way for companies around the world to connect with all the great local mobility service providers in every country, there was no… marketplace for it. And so xpath.global was born. She raised 1M EUR from the EU, invested her own money, and got to work! So here’s what we’ll be chatting about:

I’m so excited to have Maneesha Mukhi, a YouTube expert who focuses on lawyers, particularly immigration lawyers! Maneesha actually immigrated to the US and had F-1 visas, H-1B visas at a number of jobs, got her work-based GC process started multiple times, and only somewhat recently became a citizen. Maneesha couldn’t find a ton of info to help her navigate the immigration labyrinth, so she launched AskEllis (www.askellis.com), which had helpful immigration blogs and access to vetted immigration lawyers. A few years later, she started creating immigration content on YouTube, her channel really grew, and so she started helping others do the same (via https://maneeshamukhi.com/)!
Maneesha’s early life and move to the US, Her experience in college and business school, especially on a visa, How Maneesha manager her own immigration journey all those years, What inspired Maneesha to launch AskEllis, How AskEllis grew, and what made her pivot to YouTube, Success with blogs and YouTube, and how immigration professionals can do the same, And more!
