Ghazal 1631 from Rumi's Divan is an invitation to divine intoxication, where logic drowns, and love reigns supreme. The wine of the soul flows freely, awakening those who are asleep to the secrets of existence. Rumi calls on the cupbearer to pour the sacred wine, a drink not of this world but of pure awakening. He mocks philosophers who cling to logic, declaring that true lovers have drowned in the sea of love. For them, even the vast ocean is but a single cup.
