  • Ep 30 - Nano Year in Review!

It's time to take a look back and see what we have accomplished with IMNano! It's been a year since we released our first episode - but what has that done for the world?

Is there any awesome research we didn't talk about in the lit updates?? Tune in as we take a brief look back, think forward and discuss some nano!

  • Storing information in DNA?!

In this age of technology, we are generating a lot of data and there is a significant need to find a new way to store information more efficiently. Since the 1988, scientists tried to use nature's own information storage material, DNA, to store all of our digital information. In this episode, tune in how scientists from Microsoft and University of Washington are utilizing nanoscale electrode wells to improve the rate of real-time information translation to DNA!

  • Ep28 - Nanostars on gold!

In this lit update, we are discussing the formation of a nanostar that was imaged using scanning tunneling microscopy. The final product was made on the surface of Au and looks amazing!!

  • Ep 27 - 3D printing meat in the lab!

As many of us know, meat consumption negatively impact the environment but eating meat is so engrained in our lifestyle that it's hard to switch to plant-based diet. Even with the rise of plant-based meat, it's still not the same thing. So how can we still consume meat without harming the environment? How about lab grown meat?! Many scientists around the world are currently working on this, and in this episode, let's learn how researchers at Osaka University tackle this challenging task!
