With mortgage rates on the rise, here are the strategies I believe to be most important for home buyers and homeowners in the coming months. 

The number one admonishment is to you as a "Buyer" It’s time to up your offers. There’s no way around it — today’s housing market is intensely competitive due to the inventory levels and the cheap money in the market. So sitting on the fence trying to outguess the future is a loosing proposition so don't listen to the hype!

April 2021 could prove to be a pivotal point in the interest rate conversations. 

We know for a fact that rates are increaseing due to the low inventory and also economic awakening. Already, they have left the 2% arena in most areas of the country and are now settling into the 3% range very comfortably. How have vaccinations, vacations companies, unemployment and other factors played a key part. 

The biggest question..., how will they affect your buying power and how fast will it happen? Is there anything that can be done?

April could possibly be a pivital point for the increase in Mortgage Rates. We have seen new rates leave the 2% realm and creep up into the 3s.

Lenders are reporting a significant volitility in the daily changes and there is now a projected bench mark set for July 2021.  What could be driving the changes we are seeing? For one more persons are opting to get vaccinated, and nice spring weather is enticing us to get outside more after being inside through the winter, it adds up to the economy is just beginning to heat up. The faster the economy accelerates may boost the increase in mortgage rates.
