1:9- Every believer should know the will of God generally by knowing Him and specifically by seeking Him. God has his own power and gives us power by living in us (manifest power).

Pastor Bill walks us through the things that steal our joy and the things that give us joy. The things that give us joy will always outweigh those that steal. We should pursue joy but know that it comes through the grace of God and not by our own efforts.

In Matthew 25, when Jesus talks about giving talents, the master says "Enter into the Joy of your Master". You will have joy if you are in harmony with heaven, but this may be difficult if you see God as harsh and joyless.

We have a tendency to shut down our capacity for Joy because we are protecting ourselves from feeling loss or disappointment. God has a huge capacity for joy and is a part of our design.
