  • This Friendship's Got Wings
Amanda is excited about her big beautiful fridge. Melissa’s olfactory system is entirely too sensitive, but that doesn’t stop her from eating Benihana which she discovers Amanda also enjoys even though you leave there smelling like a grill top. Other commonalities these two discover — bread belongs in the fridge, mint is not a food flavor and don’t nobody got time for money management. It’s like this podcast friendship gets wings with each new episode. Speaking of wings, ie chicken bones and joints and goosebumps slathered in orange sauces, both agree that’s a hard no. YUCK.

  • Delta
Don’t worry! Melissa doesn’t spend the entire hour (rightfully) fear mongering about the Delta variant going around in this still ongoing pandemic. She knows you enjoyed the Covid reprieve, but aht aht! The pandemic isn’t over just because you’re over it! On this episode, Amanda and Melissa discuss Delta a tiny smidge, but they also touch on insecurity (Amanda’s arm hair and Melissa’s teeth) and anxiety (when Amanda can’t control medical outcomes and Melissa gets asked about that thing). Yes, still. These two are just a barrel of laughs, huh?

  • Cheugy
Amanda and Melissa discuss how hard it is to find a bathing suit for 40-year-old women. Because Melissa ain’t trying to call attention to herself in a swimsuit, she’s doing David Blaine level magic tricks with poolside accessories like her straw hat that says “silently judging you.” Amanda tells Melissa that the hat is “cheugy.” What is cheugy? Pronounced CHOO-GEE like GIRL not JEE like Jesus (who might also be cheugy according to these two olds) means — well, listen to find out!

  • Working Mom
2021 is the year of “like, realizing things” for Melissa. Melissa and Amanda discuss the true ins and outs and emotional costs of working outside the home (or in the home remotely while parenting). Amanda, who’s been known the struggle, gives Melissa some encouragement and suggests maybe she lower some of her hygiene and cleanliness standards. Them’s already low though, Melissa cries, as her feet are now ashy and her kitchen sink is full. Dreadful, but Amanda is like, “Welcome to the real world, Melissa.” Working Moms Deserve It All, ya heard?!

  • Written in the Stars: A Reading With Astrologer Andy Bellatti
Melissa and Amanda sit down for an illuminating discussion with astrologer Andy Bellatti to find out more about their serendipitous working relationship turned friendship. Known as synastry, synastry charts are used to examine relationships between two people, more specifically, how they may affect one another individually. Using information from both women’s birth charts, Andy was able to determine how Amanda’s personality intersects and works with Melissa’s to create this kinda-totally-functioning podcast. There’s healing and career growth to be found in this friendship which WOW! Enjoy this fascinating talk and if by the end, you’d like your birth chart read, you can find the super talented Andy at https://astrologywithandy.com, on Instagram and his podcast where cosmically, Melissa is also a guest this week!

  • Camp
Amanda patiently listens, like a friend would, as an overwhelmed Melissa wonders why the Prozac isn’t working yet. Then, Melissa is in deep panic about attending a kibbutz in the Catskills this coming weekend. Small talk, community bathrooms, outside, ticks, family togetherness — the woman is stressed and will not shut up about it because her husband had forbidden her from sharing her bad feelings aloud. Elsewhere in conversation,  Amanda wonders how she can keep her kids from wanting all the nice things the very rich kids in town have. Melissa suggests making conformity seem like the worst.

  • Black And Not That Mild: An Interview With Jade Verette
Since a recurring theme around here is turning internet friends into IRL friends, Melissa introduces Amanda to her intimidatingly cool friend Jade. When multitalented Jade Verette, half of hilarious podcast Jade + XD and half of Gettin’ Grown with Keia and Jade, is not podcasting, she’s a busy mom, chef, and drank-maker (™). Sit back and enjoy as she and Amanda bully Melissa for not yet watching Living Single. Plus, marvel at how it is all three of these women share a mutual joy of renaissance fair turkey legs. Bonus: Listen for the lighter flicks and inhales. LOL. Looks like Jade might have found her #thirdwhitefriend.

  • Best Moms Ever
As outside opens up, Melissa and Amanda talk about their anxiety with re-integrating into society and socializing again for the sake of their children. The two also discuss feeding their picky children. Fast food shame is real.  Both say we moms should not villainize fast food or moms who serve it. Let’s undo that shame. It’s convenient, everybody’s still alive and healthier options are still offered (and forced). Be sure to stick around to the end to find out which celebrity did some weird shit to one of Melissa’s body parts — with consent, of course. Turns out Melissa and Amanda both have weird pleasures. It’s smelling like friendship around here!

  • Oral Sex Is Only For Nighttime
Amanda and Melissa catch up on their very adult old lady weekends. Amanda went to the nursery to buy all her flowering plants. Melissa enjoyed outdoor dining with another couple. Could you believe?! The two also discuss their Mother’s Day hopes and dreams plus a reminder that oral sex is only for nighttime. If you don’t want to see and enjoy your stranger-friends’ names in lights, you can skip the Patreon shout-outs and go directly to the episode which starts at the 4:39 mark.
