Well friends, I did the thing!!! My cousin and I signed up for a triathlon back in August of 2024, and we finally completed it this last weekend.

In today’s episode, Aurora answers the question, “why do you stay in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints?”

Each person’s conversion story is different, and sometimes people experience a faith crisis, ultimately leading to the choice to leave the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints or to stay.

My personal testimony is that the decision to stay, to recommit, to turn towards Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, will lead to the best possible life one can have. From my own life, I have seen how God’s plan for me is much better than the plan I originally had for myself. He knows us best and wants us to succeed. He wants us to come back home.

I felt prompted this morning to read this blog post and make sure this podcast episode came out today. So here we are!

I enjoyed reading this post from August of 2023. Although I wrote it over a year and a half ago, it is still applicable to this day. Hope is a vital element of a joyful and purposeful life. Jesus Christ offers hope and rest in His arms, and I hope (pun intended) we take Him up on His offer.

When difficult and challenging things come up in your life, I encourage you to change your initial thought from “what if something terrible happens?” to “what if everything is okay? What if everything works out?” I have a testimony that the best is yet to come … ESPECIALLY to those who have hope.

I’m warning you RIGHT NOW; for some reason I was extremely giggly in this episode. I also rambled for about ten minutes and didn’t get to the meat of the episode until about fifteen minutes in. It’s probably why I had to break it up into two parts, but that’s okay.

Surprise! I can’t believe it myself, but I heard back from BOTH graduate programs this week. (Though I didn’t get into both haha!)

I’m happy to announce that this will be the last episode in the series, “It’s Just a Matter of When” because “when” has *finally* arrived! It’s here, baby! Five applications later, over a span of over a year, I finally can say I’m a graduate student.

Today’s episode is a summary of what I learned and liked from my Stake Conference yesterday. It was a solid meeting, so I have a lot of thoughts!

I also briefly mention my advice on how to get yourself out of a spiritual funk/rut. At times we can feel like we are spiritually plateauing, and I think working on revitalizing our testimony is a great opportunity to rededicate ourselves to Christ and His gospel.

Someone in Stake Conference yesterday said something about how any improvement we make will lead to blessings. It’s true, and isn’t that wonderful?!
