In this episode, host Caroline Schafer chats with Spouse-ly vendor providers Jessica and Elaine of Pebble and Palm. After having careers of their own, these two friends and neighbors both became military spouses later in life.
Jessica lived in Hawaii for a while and learned the art of Shibori, which is a Japanese style of fabric dying. When Elaine and Jessica made a gift for a baby shower, Elaine was hooked! The irony is that Jessica had chosen the name "Pebble and Palm" before she ever had an idea for a business. But this name seemed to fit perfectly.
There are individual products, and they now have curated gift boxes. As we head into the holiday season, this is the perfect time for these gifts. Make sure and check out their Spouse-ly website today!

In this episode, host Caroline Schafer chats with Spouse-ly vendor provider veteran Grayson and his wife, Marie Hogard, creators of Grove Cookie Company. They still are both working full-time jobs and started Grove Cookie Company in December 2020 because Marie wanted to start baking. After realizing the cookies were a huge hit, they took all the steps to create a full-fledged business.
It was out of their home kitchen in Beaverton, Oregon, where the magic of crafting out-of-this-world soft and delicious-tasting cookies happened. "We use quality ingredients from companies known for their ethical treatment of animals and a commitment to sustainability, like Vital Farms & Bob's Red Mill."

In this episode, host Caroline Schafer continues to chat with Spouse-ly CEO & Founder Monica Fullerton, who shares the story of how she started the company and her why.
When she started Spouse-ly, she was able to self-fund because she was still working her corporate job at the same time. However, while that job provided stability, it lacked passion. So, she made the choice and decided to quit her job, and Spouse-ly became her full-time job.
As a kid, Monica would always talk to her friends' parents because she loved hearing the stories of how people started their businesses. Plus, she found herself wanting to help amplify their business because she was so inspired.
Monica is a firm believer in the saying - growth begins when comfort ends.
For Monica, Spouse-ly is more than just a place to shop. It provides flexibility and stability while living a life on the go. And a place to empower one another in a community that will lift you up and supports you.

In this episode, host Caroline Schafer chats with Spouse-ly CEO & Founder Monica Fullerton. Born and raised in a small town in Ohio, Monica was inspired by her family of entrepreneurs. Not just her family but her husband's family, who happened to be her middle school sweetheart. There was one common denominator she always saw in the entrepreneurs - passion.
After graduating high school, she moved to south Florida to chase her dreams of becoming the next Oprah. (A dream we both share.) She completed her Bachelor's Degree in Multimedia Journalism Communication and a Master's Degree in Business Specializing in Marketing in five years. She loved living in Florida and was going to stay there forever.
Monica and her current husband had stayed friends during college. He had gone to school in Denver, Colorado, and was commissioned to the Air Force after ROTC in college. But, feelings we still very much there, and the two married and have been together since.
During the transition as a military spouse, Monica found a job she loved, but once she had the twins (who are turning six soon), she knew she wanted to make some changes.
For Monica, Spouse-ly is more than just a place to shop. It provides flexibility and stability while living a life on the go.

In this episode, Caroline Schafer & Spouse-ly CEO & Founder co-host an episode with Instagram Influencer - Caitlin - The Kindred Ginger. She's the wife of a marine and a mom of a spirited seven-year-old daughter.
As a military spouse for 14 years, Cailin loves volunteering, entertaining family and friends, and flower gardening. She also loves creating recipes, cocktails, and working out.
The military life has given her countless rewards and challenges. However, the reward of being able to reinvent herself is an opportunity. Not because she's forced to, but because she gets this new chance in areas such as a career, friendships, and even home decor. She's found that this has taught her how to be resilient in uncomfortable situations.
Her weight loss journey started as a yo-yo dieter and then when she and her husband went through the IVF journey. After having her daughter, she finally decided to focus on becoming her most physically able self. She shares that weight loss isn't about vanity, and it's a healthy journey of just moving when you can, making the best choices you can, and loving yourself at whatever
When it comes to her life as an influencer, she focuses on serving others. She imagines who's listening and watching and then she does her best to speak directly to them and meet them where they are.

In this episode, host Caroline Schafer chats with Spouse-ly service vendor Anne Villano who created her business - Anne Villano Art. While earning a degree in social work, Anne pours her heart and energy into developing her career as a professional artist. Her life goal, which she is actively working towards and making a reality with each painting and product sold, is to create a creative therapy program for military service members and their families. The program will address the mental health system of the military community, and it is geared toward offering military-affiliated individuals a space to talk about their mental health — an under-addressed issue in the military community.
After a challenging, almost life-threatening experience, she found a way to advocate for herself while seeking mental health care. She was in crisis and dealing with reintegration after her spouse was gone for a year. That's when she discovered the system was not working for military spouses and those dealing with mental health issues. The situation lit a fire in her to take action. Her experience led her to seek her graduate degree in social work and combine art as a healing experience for those going through.
