Sometimes it hard to do a few km in nature because of vegetation, sometimes it is hard because you get invited to share food and beverage with amazing people randomly. And it goes on during the day
Starting late because of a hangover, getting lost for hours in old paths, wanting to quit to finally ending up at night In a gorgeous campsite with a miraculous cold beer. Life on trail can be extreme
After a pretty peak and a jungle, day was quite uneventful until I mingle with local youth at the firefighters station. It all went sideways now and I know some curse words in Croatian
After a sad morning because of dreams and puh's shit, the day goes on with a lunch and ride in the back of 2 ranger's Defender, an almost citizen arrest from two guys thinking I'm a migrant and a night climbing of a mountain. It's a lot
I managed to conquer the tallest peak of the country and trail (well, I slowly walked up) but realize that my mind ain't working perfectly the past days
Planned to climb the highest peak of Croatia slowly, but got stuck for 5 hours in the most amazing lunch. Finished the climb quite intoxicated, but fed, and have a mountain hut for myself
Sometimes just a simple "yes" to any proposition gets you quite far, like in a river swimming with croatians or in a field enjoying a local folk band from a different locality (yes it makes little sense)

About In a tent with a French man : A daily thru hiking journal
From the publisher's feed
Hi, I'm Cartapouille, a bored french guy who has co-created and hiked the HexaTrek, 3000km to cross France through the mountains in 2022. I previously thru hiked the Via Adriatica in 2020. I also finished a small hike on the French Pyrenees following the GR10 for 150km. Each hike is a separate podcast season here.
Season 1 : Via Adriatica, Season 2: GR10, Season 3 : HexaTrek. Season 4: TransCaucasian Trail scouting
This is a daily short log to reassure my friends and family that I didn't die eaten by a bear or got blown up by a landmine.
