After a very long and completely unplanned hiatus, Wren and Molly are back and life certainly didn’t pause while they were gone. We’re catching up on motherhood, work, marriage, growing kids, and the general chaos that swallowed our passion project whole. No grand comeback plan, just two overstimulated moms, a lot to unpack, and the same questionable coping mechanisms you know and love. 🫠🎙️
We know… it’s been a minute 😅 (okay, a month.. toddlers will do that to you).
We’re officially in full toddler mode over here: big feelings, zero chill, and somehow… even less time for ourselves. Like truly, no time for ourselves, let alone our passion project 🫠
In this catch-up, we’re talking about what this stage really looks like. balancing work, motherhood, identity, and everything in between (while one of us casually goes on a world tour??).
Then we get into the good stuff with Rose Rodriguez, LCSW, PMH-C, diving into the mental load of motherhood, why “balance” feels so elusive, and how to actually start making space for yourself again in this wild season.
If you’ve ever thought “how am I supposed to do all of this?” this one’s for you.
It’s a solo check-in from Wren this week Molly is RIP (not actually, just very busy and still very much alive), and we’ll be back to our regular cadence soon, promise.
I’m giving a quick life update, talking about the boys (one who’s turned a corner, one who’s chosen chaos), what I’m currently watching to dissociate, and how everything somehow feels normal while the world is very much on fire.
It’s a low-pressure, catch-up episode no agenda, just vibes, honesty, and a reminder that if you feel a little behind, tired, or overwhelmed… same. We’re doing our best, and we’ll be back soon.
Grab your drink of choice, lower your expectations, and hang out with me for a bit. 💛
After an accidental two-month sabbatical (we swear it wasn’t planned… probably), we're back—slightly older, questionably wiser, and definitely caught up on way too much TV. We spend the first half of the episode catching up on life updates, minor crises, and whatever show we’re currently obsessed with (spoiler: we have thoughts).
Then we’re joined by the brilliant Jenien Lim, who brings the chaos in the best way. She tells us what it’s really like raising kids in a multicultural household and hopefully provides some tips and tricks for those who are doing the same.
Oh, and did we mention she and her mom just launched a kimchi business? Jenien gives us the inside scoop on fermenting cabbage and working with your mom.
It’s a warm, funny, slightly unhinged comeback episode. Grab your headphones, your favorite snack, and maybe a jar of kimchi. We missed you. 💛
In honor of Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month, we’re re-releasing one of our most meaningful episodes — a raw, honest conversation about infertility, loss, and the long road to motherhood.
With only a day left in October, we wanted to hold space for every mom who’s been there — the ones still waiting, the ones who’ve lost, and the ones who’ve quietly carried that pain. This one’s a reminder that you’re not alone, and that your baby — in whatever form — is out there. 🤍
----
⚠️ Trigger Warning: Infertility, IVF, and pregnancy loss are discussed in this episode.
It’s a little long… but so is the road to motherhood for so many of us. In this raw and emotional episode, Wren shares her personal infertility journey — the doctor visits, IVF injections, and all the quiet grief in between. We unpack the absolute garbage advice people love to give ("just relax!" — please don’t), the awkward taboos of announcing pregnancy, and why Lauren Bosstick should maybe take a seat. If you’re in it, have been in it, or love someone who is: we see you, we love you, and we know your baby is out there.
This week, we’re tackling the big one: being the female breadwinner. From why it’s time to actually talk about what we make 💸, to what fair play looks like when you’re juggling money, marriage, and motherhood, we’re pulling no punches.
Of course, it wouldn’t be an episode without a little chaos — Molly and Wren catch up on what we’re watching 📺, what we’re listening to 🎧, and what the boys are up to (spoiler: more teeth and new glasses 👶🦷🤓). We also somehow spiral into 9/11 (yes, really) and the fact that the world feels like it’s on actual fire 🔥.
Pour yourself something strong — this one’s part financial therapy, part cultural commentary, and all In Another Life.

Wren’s on day 5 of 14 of solo parenting two toddlers — completely. by. herself. She’s trudging through with her trusty 2000 clean rap playlist and sharing the survival hacks that are keeping her (barely) afloat: outsourcing, finding your tribe, and begging the universe for outside validation that she’s doing okay.
Meanwhile, Molly dives into Nolan’s ball surgery — the stress, the recovery, and the relief of making it through. And because we can’t help ourselves, there’s also some talk of puke, rallying, and the things we do to survive this wild ride called parenting.

Yes - we know the audio was fucked up - it's fixed now...
Molly’s back from vacation, Wren’s still here (obviously), and somewhere along the way… our babies turned into toddlers. We try to talk about boundaries for tiny humans, but get sidetracked by Wren’s questionable parenting tactic of instilling childhood fear via nighttime spider warnings.
It’s equal parts chaos and catch-up — plus a little teaser of what’s to come in Season 2 of In Another Life: amazing guests, bigger laughs, and two moms desperately trying to get their shit together (spoiler: still pending).

We’re back, baby — literally. After a month-long “break” to enjoy summer (aka survive it), Wren’s flying solo while Molly’s off in Montana — and she’s got a very special guest: her sister, who just had her first baby!
We talk pregnancy, labor, postpartum chaos, and what it’s really like in those early newborn days. From the highs to the total WTFs, it’s raw, real, and a little bit ridiculous — because no one warns you about the mesh underwear and the emotional spirals.
Grab your drinks and settle in. Auntie Wren’s on the mic.
