This week honors Black History Month!
In this week's Signs, Synchronicities, and Spectral Sightings Melly shares the mysterious disappearance of a package of Velcro. After a thorough search, the missing package has not been recovered leaving us to concluded that Melly has been jotted. Will the Velcro turn up? Stay tuned to find out!
In this week's episode Melly honors Black History by sharing the remarkable stories of Denmark Vesey and Gullah Jack. These activist fought for their freedom and inspired others to rise up against slavery and oppression. This is a story that is not often told but is important to share. Everyone at In Between the Veil believe strongly in sharing people's story and that Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion are important parts of storytelling. This story also offers us the opportunity to learn from history and to acknowledge our past so we can do better for our future.
Melly also shares a terrifying story from Bilal G. Morris, about a woman being stalked by a tall, dark figure, that follows her home.
This leads us into the history of the Gullah Geechee People and their spiritual beliefs. We also learn about the terrifying paranormal entities known as the Haints, the Boo-hags, and the Plat-eye. You'll learn about the terrifying nature of these human-skin wearing, whiskey drinking, neurodivergent, energy-sucking specters and how to protect yourself against being haunted by them.
Don't let the hag ride ya!

You'll hear about the dragging noises coming from the kitchen (cool, cool, cool) and a glimpse of what it is like to watch a scary movie with Melly. Grab yourself a pillow, or two or five.
This week the gals share part two of shadow work. Chat discusses the importance of recognition of our darker sides, the importance of integration of the dark and light together (we're only human, people!), and types of shadow work that allow for integration of the dark and healing.
Chat shares the importance of getting into action to really start your shadow work and some resources to get you started. Melly shares important reminders to be gentle with yourself as you embark on your shadow work journey, that we're humans and mistakes will be made, to show yourself some compassion, and that through shadow work, the desire to flip people off will lessen!

Happy Valentine's Day!
In this week's Signs, Synchronicities, & Spectral Sightings Melly shares the crazy but amazing story of a missing ring. This story is a wild one! Complete with insane synchronistic timing, synchronistic land purchases, and the gals personal favorite, dogs! The story affirms that if you love something and you let it go that it will come back to you even if that's 40 years later!
This week Chat not only shares a ghost story but a true crime story as well! Set in the Adirondacks, Chat tells the tragic story of Grace Brown and her dumb lover, Chester Gillette. You'll learn about their love story, the scandal, the crime, the trial, and of course the hauntings associated with her love affair.
Is the inexplicable sadness people feel when at the edge of Big Moose Lake Grace's way of telling us she's still sad? Is she strolling the edge of the lake looking for Chester? Or is she pissed that the movie made about her makes her out to be a fool and she's here to tell her side of the story?
This is one lake's edge that you don't want to walk alone. Especially not with a tennis racket!

Love is in the air...
This week on Signs, Synchronicities, and Spectral Sightings Melly shares how a recent mediation not only provided her with a message but one for a close friend as well.
The gals thought what better way to kick of the start of February than with a topic on self love. This week is part one of all things shadow work. Melly shares how some self reflection paved the way for this episode. Chat provides an introduction into what the shadow is, how you can recognize your shadow, and the importance of shadow integration.
Chat and Melly have an honest conversation about their shadows, shifting their negative energy, New Kids on the Block, biters, personal growth, and more.
You'll learn how shadow work isn't something to be feared or ashamed of but something that can bring enlightenment to why we behave in certain ways or think certain things. That by honoring the dark parts of ourselves we make the light parts shine even brighter!

In this week's Signs, Synchronicities, and Spectral Sighting Chat shares the another episode in her kitchen chronicles. This time the ghostie (not Alice) has messed with the kitchen cabinets. Is it Alice's husband looking to make himself a PB&J or is this a spirit in search of something else?
In the final episode of School Spirits 201 Melly shares the creepy co-ed tales of the most haunted college in New England (supposedly), Smith College.
And it is not just the haunted halls that makes Smith so spooky but the scholarly specters that remain also another level of wonder that will leave your skin crawling.

This week on Signs, Synchronicities, and Spectral Sightings Chat shares the story of the ghosts in her kitchen... that aren't Alice! Footsteps going in and out of kitchen, drawers being opened and closed, and someone (or thing!) looking through the mess of Tupperware lids! Is someone finally doing dishes? Or is someone just trying to get Chat's attention that her kitchen needs a deep clean?
This week's penultimate episode of School Spirits 201 bring the gals to Plymouth State University in Plymouth, New Hampshire. Chat shares some of the history of the school and of course, about its haunted halls.

This week the gals explore stories from Connecticut!
First Melly shares an update from one of our listeners regarding the University of Maine and their paranormal experiences, which has us asking the question: are we ever really alone?
On this week's Signs, Synchronicities, and Spectral Sightings Chat shares two stories: one about a much needed sign she received and another about a spectral encounter in her home. Is Alice making her presence known to guests in Chat's home? Or is there someone (or something) else in the kitchen? And do they do dishes?
This week's episode of School Spirits 201 bring us to Connecticut College. Strap in for this wild, mysterious, and super dark history. Melly shares the chilling stories of a ghost who screams, a little girl who may want some ice cream, and mysterious theater ghost who not only enjoys watching the current theater productions but the rehearsals as well!

Welcome back to episode 2 of School Spirits 201: Haunted Colleges in New England!
On this week's Signs, Synchronicities, and Spectral Sighting Melly shares the story of how her boyfriend, Tony, got jotted. This also serves as a friendly reminder to make sure you leave a set of spare keys with someone you trust versus leaving them at home.
In an overnight bag.
Where someone might have to go through the overnight bag.
And maybe you don't want them going through your personal effects.
This week Chat tells of the haunted halls of Salve Regina University. From mysterious bouncing balls to desk drawers opening up on their own, to distinctly hearing a party happening only to find that no one is around, it is no wonder their student newspaper is able to write about these scholarly specters yearly!
And the gals would like to extend a big thank you and shout to friend and listener, Maureen, for being the inspo behind this week's school. Maureen not only offered SRU as a suggestion for us to explore but also provides her personal paranormal experiences.
Don't listen alone! Unless you want to. But don't say we didn't warn you!
