In honor of Disney's remake of Pete's Dragon, Loren defends the original, a musical comedy(?) about a filthy ragamuffin and the toxic relationship he has with a stupid dragon with poorly defined invisibility and size.
After Sam reveals the next movie, Sam and Loren discuss The Big Bang Theory, and the great theme song that accompanies this bad show.
Guest Defender (and coolest person around) Leah Tanzy defends Zack Snyder's beautifully shot, but narratively baffling, Sucker Punch.
Note: There is a moment where Sam mentions an article. That article can be found at http://io9.gizmodo.com/5785523/zack-snyder-explains-the-point-of-sucker-punch
Along with revealing the next movie the IDOBM gang will discuss (and its supercool guest defender), the guys at Themes Like Old Times talk about the classic comedy, I Love Lucy.
In a departure from our usual format, we compare two movies--2006's The Illusionist and The Prestige--that are both well reviewed. They are also similar in other ways, what with the Victorian-era magic. Of course, we can't discuss too many good movies. This is a bad movie podcast, which is to say, a podcast where we discuss bad movies. If people hear that we are a "bad movie podcast" and see that many of our movies are well regarded, they will assume that we are a bad . . . movie podcast. And we don't want that.
In a later than usual minisode, Sam reveals what the follow-up to the magical Bewitched episode will be. Hint, it's twice as magical!
Loren tries to cast a spell on the rest of the IDoBM gang to convince them that Bewitched is a magical movie. Meanwhile, Laura tries to say "Voldemort," with mixed results.
Sam reveals the next movie the IDOBM gang will discuss, and Sam and Loren talk about--and sing--the theme to It's Garry Shandling's Show, in Themes Like Old Times.
Only You can prevent bad movies. Well, that's not really true. But you can help, by not watching them. I guess the very nature of this podcast makes it so we are part of the problem. Oh well. Join us as Laura defends the RDJ/Marisa Tomei rom-com Only You.
Join Sam and Loren as they reveal the subject of the next IDoBM episode and discuss the brilliance that is the theme song to the series Perfect Strangers.
