Power is often misunderstood. We tend to associate power with entitlement—something earned or deserved. Yet, in Ephesians 5:25, Paul instructs husbands to “love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her.” This command flips the common understanding of power upside down. Jesus invites us into this countercultural way of living, where the real path to freedom is through service and self-denial.
In this episode, Whit, Casey, and Lee dive deeper into the true meaning of sacrifice and leadership and the word Paul gives to husbands.

We are members of Christ's body, and this belonging informs the way we should love within a marriage. Our commitment to each other in marriage is a covenant, a mutual giving of oneself for the sake of the other. This covenantal love requires vulnerability, sacrifice, and intimacy. But how do we live this out well in a hyper-sexualized world?
In this episode, Whit, Casey and, Angela break down Paul’s letter in 1 Corinthians, how we can move through sexual brokenness and dysfunction, and how we can address these topics in our relationships and in our church community.

Submission is a word that often brings with it feelings of apprehension. What did Paul really teach about submission in marriage in Ephesians 5? Paul’s letter was written to a community of Christ-followers, emphasizing unity in the body of Christ, including unity between husband and wife. However, his teachings on submission aren’t meant to be applied rigidly or without pastoral wisdom.
In this episode, Whit and Casey explore what submission looks like in ideal and less than ideal situations and how Paul is reorienting our understanding of God’s family and how it reflects the relationship between Christ and the Church.

We all know the importance of our words. Yet, many of us speak without thinking. We don't consider the listener's communication style, how they might receive what we say, or how we can invite Jesus into the conversation.
In this episode, we discuss practical ways to learn to speak in a way that your spouse can understand and stay curious in our conversations.
It may be tempting to jump right to change how you talk to each other, and while that could bring some quick results, if something deeper doesn't change, your words will eventually drift back to causing harm. Scripture teaches us that our words reflect our hearts. The real issue isn't just communication—it's a heart problem only Jesus can fix.
So, let's talk about it!

How to Stay Married: The Most Insane Love Story Ever Told
Friendship in marriage is not optional; it’s essential. Without it, you’re missing out on the fullness of joy in your relationships. Just like Christ came near to us, we must come near to each other, being vulnerable, humble, and committed to seeking each other’s glory. This is what makes our marriages—and our Christ communities—truly flourish.
In this episode, Whit and Lyndsey explore the picture Jesus gives us of true friendship, what it looks like to step into each other’s world, appreciating each other’s differences, and the power of vulnerability.

In this episode, Whit references The Meaning of Marriage by Timothy Keller
A lot of marriages can feel like two neighboring countries—independent, coexisting, but not really intertwined in purpose. On the other hand, some partners might lose their individuality, becoming overly enmeshed in the relationship. But there’s a middle ground we’re called to move toward: interdependence.
In this episode, Whit and Casey explore how couples can find a common horizon, understand the deep meaning behind being "one flesh," and discover the path to becoming the fullest version of themselves—whether in marriage or as individuals.

In today’s world, relationships often resemble a consumer model—a value proposition where we constantly weigh what we get from the relationship against what we have to put in. It’s a balancing act: Is this still worth it? When the scales tip in the wrong direction, many of us are tempted to move on. This mindset, however, contrasts sharply with the concept of covenant relationships we see in Scripture.
In this episode, Whit and Casey talk about creating a foundation of commitment over feelings and the nature of covenant relationships—both in marriage and with God.

In today’s world, navigating our relationships—whether in dating, marriage, family, or community—can feel like walking a tightrope. The constant noise from media, culture, and societal expectations makes it hard to discern what’s truly beneficial and aligned with our faith. So how do we approach these sensitive topics within a faith community?
In this episode, Heather and Jamie dive into a candid conversation about intimacy, aging, recognizing when media crosses the line, and tackling important yet often overlooked discussions in the Church.

Marriage is more than just a relationship between two people; it's a profound reflection of how God loves us. Yet, in today's culture, there are many misconceptions about marriage—arguably the most intimate and challenging of human relationships. If God is speaking to us through marriage, it’s crucial that we understand what He has to say.
In this episode, Whit and Casey discuss Ephesians 4 and unpack the biggest problem to our marriages: self-centeredness and the antidote: the gospel.
