You may have heard, even from Pastor Mike, that salvation is free. It’s true - it is, but as he’ll point out in today’s message, that doesn’t mean it doesn’t come at a cost. If you imagine walking on a long cross-country journey, you may not have to pay anything to walk, but it certainly costs you a lot – in your time, energy, as well as your other commitments. As we’ll be challenged in today’s message, the cost of following Jesus may be great, but its rewards are even greater.

Have you ever seen a young child do something that they know they shouldn't but they're little and it's just so cute? Our own sin in our lives can be a bit like that. We can downplay it and pretend it's not a big deal... But in reality, it's these sins that separate us from God. It's these sins that condemn us to an eternity spent away from God. We need to run from our sin.

From a young age, people are taught that if you want something you have to work for it. If you want money, a degree, a relationship, you have to work for it. And this concept of work equaling getting what I want just doesn't carry over into our relationship with Christ... And in today's message, Pastor Mike will remind you that Christ was the perfect sacrifice for all sin. No amount of addition from our striving will do anything to get us any favor with God. Salvation is a gift, given freely.

Sometimes we can feel inundated with all of the struggles that seem to come our way. Between financial, relational, and marital conflict, it can feel like our problems are just too big... But in today's message, Pastor Mike will encourage you that no matter how despaired you might feel, God is greater. For every ounce of hurt and fear, God will pour in double the amount of love and peace when we seek Him. There's no problem too big for Him to handle... So when trials seem to be constant, we need to seek God.

The Bible warns us that the tongue is a double-edged sword! But what does that really mean? Well in today's message, Pastor Mike will remind you that the words you speak have a great impact. Has someone made a sharp remark towards you? How did that make you feel? Maybe angry, sad, or hurt... But has someone ever told you just how much they love you? Now that's an incredible feeling. As Christians, we need to be aware of the effect that words have on others and use our words for Christ.

How should a husband love his wife? Well in today's message, Pastor Mike will share with you how husbands should treat their wives with love and respect. The Bible tells us that husbands should love their wives in the same way that Christ loved the Church. So how did Christ love the Church? For the Church, Jesus allowed Himself to die an excruciating death. He was beaten and mocked, all so that His bride the Church, wouldn't have to endure it... And this is the example set for husbands.

In today's message, Pastor Mike will remind husbands and wives of an important truth for their relationship. It's not enough for just one person to be pursuing Christ in the relationship. For true unity to take place, both spouses must be seeking the Lord and know Him personally. Because it's just not enough to find the “perfect” person. There is no perfect person, your spouse will eventually disappoint you or even make you angry... But how would Jesus respond to that? With grace and love unending.

When you became a Christian, you became a representative of Christ, and that puts a target on your back. Satan knows that you are a servant of Christ and he'll stop at nothing to destroy you... But does Jesus leave us alone to fend for ourselves? No! Jesus is our great protector! He sends us out to do the work of His kingdom, giving us full confidence that He will protect us and guide us as we go through all the Earth to make disciples. Would a good shepherd lead his sheep into harm's way? Never!

In today's message, Pastor Mike will encourage you to truly give thought to what Jesus went through as He was crucified for our sins. Even before He was subjected to the cruelest form of execution known at that time, He was mocked and beaten, spit on even... And He did this all willingly. No one forced Him, no one coerced Him. He did it because of the immense love that He had and has for YOU. All of His sufferings were done for love and reunification... So that one day, we might see Him face to face.

Does your boss at work drive you crazy? For many of us, it can feel like no matter how hard we try, we just can't do anything good enough for them... And in today's message, Pastor Mike will remind you that even though our bosses' can be frustrating, we're called to be an example in the workplace. If you blow up on your boss and are disrespectful, what does that communicate to your coworkers about Christians?
