When a person first begins to flirt with sin, they hear the Spirit tell them “no!” But as they begin to walk down that path, they slowly silence that voice. Pastor Mike is talking about the end result of that first flirtation. At the end, the person no longer hears the cautioning voice. In fact, they begin to draw others into the sin with them. Where are you on that path? Have you begun to flirt with sin? Taken that first step down the path? Or have you settled into the sin? Can you still hear the Spirit's whisper?

Pastor Mike is going to talk about life in Christ today, and how we always have a hope of things getting better! The writer of Lamentations said it this way, “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” His love and his mercy find us every single morning. And it's his great faithfulness that reminds us of the hope we have in him. Because you are so loved by God, your hope is secure!

When we met him, David was only the youngest son of Jesse. He was just a shepherd boy. But he surrendered his life to God and yielded to the Lord's purposes for him. Through that, he became a king. And not just a king, he was the most famous king in Israel. He was the man with a heart like God's heart. Just think of what God can do with your life if you will yield yourself to him! It doesn't matter who you are now. It doesn't matter if you smell like sheep. He takes your life and makes it what he wants it to be!

There’ll be times in your life, believer, you’ll face such difficult moments – illness, persecution, inequality, trials. You realize that you simply can’t get through any of it by yourself. But you have a great advantage! Today, Pastor Mike will describe the blessing that God gives you through your trials in life. He’s with you in every difficult moment and he cares deeply for you. When you trust the Lord, as David did, you can rest in His strength and wisdom. You can move forward confidently knowing God will guide you.

Though knowledge and wisdom of God is helpful to build your faith’s foundation on, experiencing God’s presence and blessings is how your faith will truly begin to thrive. Today, Pastor Mike will encourage you, as you take steps of faith, to be keenly aware of how God is with you in each moment. You will quickly begin to realize God’s faithfulness and love to you. And the more you see God’s presence, the more you’re able to trust Him completely. Your faith will grow and thrive in this life and into eternity.

As a believer, God will often call you and use you in places where you’ll face opposition. Sometimes, your opposition may be a giant in the way. Today, Pastor Mike will challenge you to be willing to be used by God, despite the obstacles you face. Remember that no enemy is bigger than God! If He’s called you, He will more than get you through! Don’t run away if things feel difficult, but lean more and more on God through it. God will accomplish miraculous things through those willing to be used by Him!

All too often, believers’ first and only response in a trial is to muddle through, seeking to solve and eliminate their own problems. However, as Pastor Mike teaches today, your first response should be to seek the Lord. Don’t let busyness, preoccupation, or human solutions cause you to forget God. Because if you fail to seek the Lord, your little trials grow and multiply and last much longer than they should. In humility, seek first the Lord and He will guide you into a solution!

There are many today who think that God and the ideas of judgment and damnation are a myth. They feel invincible and live their lives as if there’ll never be consequences. Yet, as Pastor Mike teaches today, you can never run from God. You will eventually have to answer for the life you’re living. You can’t hide from His judgment – it comes for everyone. Your only saving grace will be having faith in Jesus and trusting in His sacrifice on the cross for you. Only this makes you worthy.

There are many voices crying out in the world today that simply go against the truth of God. These voices can distort the truth, they can persecute those who believe in truth and they can convince you God is gone. These voices are convincing and alluring and can lead many away from God. Today, Pastor Mike will encourage you to stand firm in your faith and remain true to your Lord. Don’t be swayed by lies. Don’t be tempted to believe worldly thinking. It leads to nowhere! Be faithful to God like He is to you!

Life, no matter who you are, can be incredibly difficult at times. Even the most faithful and blessed believers will experience seasons of trouble and tragedy. Today, Pastor Mike will explain that though life can be hard and trials can seem to just keep hitting you, you’re not alone in these seasons. God is with you through everything you’re going through. He’s present, He loves you and will care for you. And in the end, He will bring some good out of your trials. Don’t lose heart. Cling tightly to Jesus!
