How do people know you love and follow Jesus? Is it by what you say? OR – are they certain of who you believe in by what you DO? Pastor Mike reminds you today that all Christians are to be known by their love of one another! Love is an action – it’s so much more than words. It’s being the hands and feet of Jesus, serving your brothers and sisters in Christ with humility. By doing this, as Jesus has called you to do, you’ll show the world the difference a Savior can make in a life!

When you do a good deed, what’s your motivation? Sure, you could say it’s all for God’s glory – but is that really true? In today’s message, Pastor Mike will ask you to really look at the heart behind all you do “for” Christ. Is it really coming from a place of love and gratitude for all Jesus has done for you? God sees what you do in His name, and He will reward you – so don’t waste time seeking the approval of others! Let your good deeds be done with one reason in mind – the love and grace of Jesus!

Obedience is more than words – it’s the actions that follow. As Pastor Mike said, you can believe the Bible, but it’s different to actually obey it! How does simply believing affect your life? You can believe in all kinds of things, but it doesn’t shape who you are or how you treat the world around you. Today, Pastor Mike will encourage you to go from belief to action! Take what you learn in God’s Word and make changes to your lifestyle. Start living as Jesus did, doing what your Heavenly Father asks of you!

The world that we live in is hurting and broken. There are many people without homes, food, or water. We live in this sinful world only in passing. Jesus has prepared a perfect place for each person who places their trust in Him. In heaven, we will be with Jesus for eternity. There will be no more crying or pain, only joy and peace in the presence of our King... And because we have this great treasure waiting for us when we go to be with Jesus, our time on Earth should be spent sharing about Jesus!

Today, Pastor Mike will encourage you to take time and get into your Bible each and every day. Throughout the Bible, the heroes and well-known leaders of the Bible didn't actually have the Bible. In the New Testament, they had the Old Testament and a little bit of what had already been written of the New Testament... But we today have the counsel of the entire Bible! We have access to a massive collection of wisdom and history spanning thousands of years! We can meet with God, through the Bible.

The Bible is vital to faith – it just is! There’s no better way to get to know you’re Creator than through the words He inspired – the words He left for YOU! Think about the book of 1 Peter – Peter had met Jesus, yes, but how did he know the history of God’s love and faithfulness? How did he know that Jesus would come? He studied the Scriptures! Pastor Mike will urge you today to daily find yourself in God’s Word and to allow that action to become part of who you are. Let it change you each and every day!

Salvation can be an easy first step – it’s a simple prayer. It’s saying the words and giving your heart to Jesus. But in reality, that’s only step one – there’s a lifetime of living in the salvation ahead of you! Pastor Mike will tell you today that you’re not alone as you navigate following Jesus. You have protection from on high – God is your shield, your comfort, and your guide. The enemy will try his best to pull you away, and some days it may feel like he’s winning. Don’t be afraid though – God has already won the war!

In John 14:6 Jesus says, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. As you listen to Pastor Mike in today’s message, you’ll learn about the life Jesus has to offer to you. Maybe you already follow Jesus, maybe you followed Him once but turned back, OR maybe you’ve never decided to follow Him. In today's message, Pastor Mike will encourage you to take some notes from the apostle Peter. Here in 1st Peter, Peter is hoping that people would receive the peace and grace that comes from God... Just as Peter would likely wish that for the modern church... But how do we as Christians experience the peace and grace of our Lord? Through surrendering our lives to Him. When we surrender our plans and allow God to work His plan in our lives, the peace and sense of grace come from obedience to His will.
