A works-based faith simply means attempting to “work” or do good things for God in hopes of attaining right standing with God. This idea undermines the very fabric of what it means to be saved by Jesus. Jesus died because we can't achieve righteousness on our own. He died so that His righteousness could be imputed to us! He died on the cross so that we didn't have to earn our salvation!

In today's message, Pastor Mike will share about the will of God in your life. Often times many people will ask the question, “what's the meaning of life?” or “what's my purpose in life?”... And while God may not give us the exact step by step instructions for each phase of our lives, the basic will of God can be broken down into two things. The will of God is for us to go out into all the world and make more disciples, to share the good news. Secondly, God would want us to be open to what He has to say.

It's easy to trust God when life is going our way. It's easy to trust God when all the bills are paid, the fridge is full, and you've got a full tank of gas... But what about when life just doesn't seem to want to go our way? Well in today's message, Pastor Mike will offer you some encouragement to follow God no matter the circumstances. No matter what our life may look like at the moment, none of the trials change God's goodness. Just as He cares for the birds of the fields so He will care for you.

In the grand scheme of things, we have to think about the end of our lives. As we go through life and make choices, we have to think of what we will or won't regret. When you're about to pass from this life and into what is next, you won't regret following and serving Jesus. In Jesus, there is safety and contentment knowing that you're living out His plan for your life! When we're obedient to what the Lord has for us, He blesses us and our lives! He's built an eternal resting place for all of His children!

Since nearly the beginning of time in the garden of Eden, sin has been a part of the human narrative. All people are born with both an innate desire to sin and an inability to overcome the sin in their lives... This sin in our lives puts us at odds with God... But there is no condemnation for those who have accepted Jesus Christ as their savior. When Jesus comes into your life and cleanses you of your sin, there's no need for you to feel condemned or ashamed, Jesus wiped away every blemish!

In today's message, Pastor Mike will remind you that your actions will always have consequences. The world we live in will try to tell you that there are no consequences for your actions, the world will tell you that you can do anything you want to as long as you're happy. The philosophy of the world essentially says that if you're happy then what you're doing can't be bad... Even if it clearly violates the guidelines set out by God. God gave the biblical guidelines to help us through life, not to torture us.

In today's message, Pastor Mike will continue to speak to husbands about what it means to care for their wives in a biblical way and how to practically live out biblical care in marriage. The Bible says that a husband should love his wife as he loves himself. Whether we're willing to admit it or not, we all love ourselves, take care of ourselves, and do what we need to do to be happy and healthy... Husbands ought to express the same love and care for their wives. This pleases the Lord.

In today's message, Pastor Mike will share with husbands about what it means to be a good husband and a good leader. The Bible is very clear about its expectations for husbands and how they love and respect their wives... However, this is often easier said than done. The key to being able to care for your spouse in the way that the Bible guides you to do, is the Holy Spirit. Only through the strength and enabling of the Holy Spirit can you truly live up to the standards set for you in marriage.

Serving God for any other reason other than love will fail. You shouldn't work to advance the kingdom of God because it's the right thing or because it will get you into heaven. These are self-serving reasons to give. As Pastor Mike shares in today's study, contributing out of gratitude and thanksgiving for all the Lord has blessed you with will be ever-lasting. Love is the basis for all successful relationships. When was the last time you worked on your relationship with the Lord?

Who rules this world? Let's start with a few clues. The world is filled with sin; most people care more about their needs than the poor, and things are only getting worse.
