Every one of us has a choice to make regarding eternity. Putting it off is equivalent to rejecting Christ. You’re choosing to serve yourself over submitting to Him. In today’s message, as Pastor Mike continues our study in the book of Revelation, we’ll be reminded of how much is really at stake. You can choose to serve self, and go into eternity separated from God, destined for eternal agony, or you can choose to accept His offer of salvation and be adopted as a son or daughter in His family.

There are many ways we could improve our society and make it fairer and better overall. We’re fortunate to have things as good as we do, but we still have a lot of problems to sort through. The thing is, as long as sin reigns in the hearts of men, these problems will persist. Man may come up with short-term solutions for them, but this is just the nature of living in this fallen world. Today, Pastor Mike will remind us that only when sin and the Devil are completely vanquished will we experience peace.

Rebellion against the God who created the universe and holds its future in His hands is fruitless. But, as easily as He could have just wiped all of us out and started again, He’s full of love and grace for even the most rebellious of us. He wants you to choose Him out of gratitude – not fear. As Pastor Mike continues our study of the book of Revelation in today’s message, he’ll challenge anyone listening to examine your heart, and if you’ve been resisting Jesus, it’s time to embrace Him and accept His love.

We humans have a lot of misplaced confidence in our advanced weaponry. When you contemplate the sheer power of nuclear weapons it may strike fear in your heart. But even such a devastatingly powerful weapon is no match for God. The capacity He has for both creation and destruction is beyond anything humans can even dream of achieving. With a simple breath, He can give life, and by merely willing it, He could wipe out all of mankind and bring this fallen world to an end.

When you choose to follow Jesus, it should begin a shift in your heart that expands into every aspect of your life. That shift will move you from focusing on serving self and seeking comfort and pleasure, to a life that’s primarily focused on serving Jesus and carrying out His mission in this world. As Pastor Mike will point out in today’s message, this is the nature of all of Scripture, including any prophecy it contains, and the life of everyone who comes into God’s Kingdom should reflect that.

There’s a great wedding set to happen, and you’re invited. Everyone is. Sadly, many, many people will turn down the invitation. There are many reasons, but ultimately pride is generally at the heart of it. In today’s message, Pastor Mike will take a look at what the book of Revelation has to say about this beautiful event. Even if you don’t particularly enjoy weddings, this is something you don’t want to miss. Not only are you invited, you can participate as a part of the bride: the Church.

God’s grasp of justice is much stronger than ours. He created it, along with everything else. Yet, with misplaced trust in our own sense of reason, we look at the events that happen in our world and accuse God of being unjust and unloving. As Pastor Mike continues our study of the book of Revelation in today’s message, we’ll be reminded that ultimately, God is just, though we often can’t see it in the here and now. One day it’ll be made clear just how He’s working in even the most unfair circumstances.

The pandemic has given us a glimpse of what the desolation described in today’s passage could look like. Before all this, we took the peace and prosperity we were experiencing for granted. Things were far from perfect, but compared to the civil and political turmoil we’ve seen, things were pretty good. As Pastor Mike continues our study of Revelation in today’s message, we’ll be reminded of just how easy it is for world events to bring major upheaval in just a matter of days, or even hours.

What world systems have you invested your trust in? It’s common knowledge for most people that governments and political entities can’t solve all of our problems. No matter how noble a leader’s motives might be, they’re human and they come up short every single time. Yet, just like the people of Israel asking God for a king, we just seem to want a person to put our hope in. As we’ll be warned in today’s message from Pastor Mike, we need to be sure that Jesus alone is our source of strength and hope.

There’s room for interpretation on what or who exactly the label “Babylon” refers to in the book of Revelation. There are at least a few possibilities we could point to in our current culture. The mainstream church, who quickly is looking more and more like the world, or perhaps it’s a nation – maybe even the United States? There’s room for speculation, but as Pastor Mike will explain in today’s message, the true Church should not look anything like the world. We’re to be in but not of this fallen place.
