#InMyMind: How can you have a happy new year, but not be a happy new you? If you want to start the year off right you have to start the year off with a new you! You’re the author and finisher of your story.
If you’re going to write your own story you might as well write yourself in as the winner and the hero of that story. With that said, I wanted to take a message from one of my favorite heroes, Bruce Lee, and Lee said, “be like water”. I gonna be fluid like water because I wanted my year to start with a flow.
That flow I’m talking about begins at the start of my day with investing with the most high. Then I’m going to invest in myself by take care of me first. Last but not least, I’m going to invest in others. I’m going to pour into them what I have left over after giving to God and myself, in that order.

December 22, 2018 S1. Ep.30 - Note to Self: Opportunities, Chances and Choices (Season 1 Finale)
#InMyMind: Season 1 Finale!!!! It started with Ep.1 now we're here Ep.30! From 1 play to 3,000 plays later and now we're here!!! This episode is the Season 1 wrap-up so it has some of my favorite snippets from previous shows along with a new and fresh cumulative perspective from 29 prior episodes.
I started this podcasting journey with Ep.1 and for two weeks I only had 1 play...and I am sure that 1 play was from me, but a podcast of over 3,000 plays begins with 1 play. After I launched the podcast, I didn't even promote it, I didn't promote it because I was scared.
What was I scared of? I was scared of being judged, and being mocked, and honestly I was just scared of being successful. That just goes to show you that even after I jumped out there...I still didn't believe in myself, I didn’t believe in me, which is not only dangerous it's deadly!
Once I started my podcasting journey by stating, "that life is about choice, chance and opportunity. You make the right choices to give your self a chance at the best opportunities," and with that said, once I made up my mind to do the podcast, my choices led to many chances and the chances I took created more opportunities.
The podcast literally took on a life of its own! People started reaching out to me just to tell me to, "keep going...", "I like what you're doing...", "you're inspiring the people...", "you've helped me in so many ways..." and the quotes go on and on and on...
My podcast was a spin off and started by me making a choice to be on the #truthmomentpodcast with "The Voice Behind the Truth" Ms. Mika Joi and once I got bitten by the podcasting bug, I created "In My Mind: Everybody Knows Chris" and then "The M.E.N. Show" and thus the universal ripple effect that led to these shows also led to other shows being created and to the creation of opportunities and now we're here!
Your gifts make room for you and puts you in the presence of greatness. The opportunities that were created are boundless and they were started with just one choice. That choice was to "Bet On Myself!" Now it ain't easy in fact it is hard, and like my old ball Coach Willie Richardson use to say, "it's hard, but it's fair," and it's fair because it's honest! And it's honest because I should be the only one paying for the choices I made. Once the choice was made I had to develop nerves of steel.
Needless to say that after I built up the nerve, that nerve led to momentum, the momentum developed into a following. Now I have people asking me when am I dropping the next episode and that really means the world to me because for the longest time I felt like I didn't have a voice, a message, I thought that I didn't have anything to say. Now people are tuning in to hear what I have to say and all I started doing was sharing what was In My Mind...what do you have to offer?

December 10, 2018 S1. Ep.29 - Bet On Yourself: Eat Plants & Prosper with Whitney Miner 😋+🥗=🙏🏾💰👸🏽🧘🏽‍♀️
#InMyMind: It is written and said in the B.I.B.L.E. (Basic Instruction Before Leaving Earth) that it's not what goes into the mouth that defiles a person, but what comes out of the mouth that defiles a person. What came out of our mouths in this episode will make you think, laugh, eat plants and prosper. I was super excited to have my good friend, Whitney Miner, from @eatplantspropser on "The Cast" in this version of Bet On Yourself. Whitney and I are former co-workers that share similar stories on how we became vegetarian, well Whitney corrected me by saying her diet is "plant-based" and she's not really a vegetarian. Poor Nimo And Sebastian... This episode was fun for two reasons; for one Whitney has the energy and life-force of a 5-year old and for two she has this wisdom of an old-soul. We talked about everything from fitness to fibroids. We also discussed how Western medicine treats the symptoms not the cause of our modern bouts with illness. And how we need to link back to our Eastern cultural roots to treat the whole person and not just our runny noses. Needless to say it was a very dynamic conversation and of course I enjoyed the many, quips, quotes and stories that were shared. There is something in the podcast for everyone to enjoy. December 06, 2018 S1. Ep.28 - Note To Self: My Morning Commute/Commune (Oh Ye Of Little Faith)
#InMyMind: There has been so much positive energy, words and vibes given to me since I published my last episode that I wanted to give it back with this bonus episode.
I love the fact that there is a village, a community, of family and friends that constantly pour into me and encourage me to keep going, even when there seems to be no reason to press on. Just keep going is all I hear.
Where am I going and why am I going? These are the questions that I have and, the funny thing is, the only way that I will find the answers to these questions is to continue pressing on. Pressing forward and pressing in faith.
Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the things you see in your mind, yet the evidence of these things unseen, the things have not materialized just yet. So why keep going you ask, well...you'll just have to keep going to find out...MESSSAAAGGGEEE!!!

#InMyMind: I've been in such a melancholy mood lately and I don't know why. They say there is no rest for the weary and patience is a virtue but what do you do when you're tired of waiting? I am waiting or procrastinating.
Procrastination is the silent dream killer and if there is no struggle, there is no progress. Am I struggling because I'm procrastinating or because I am progressing? I am so confused.
One lesson that I will take from this episode is not all inspiration leads to motivation and not all motivation comes from inspiration. Some motivation comes from obligation.
Whether it is inspiration, motivation or obligation, either way I know what's ahead of me, my destiny so I better get me some shut eye now so I can shine later. #Message

November 26, 2018 S1. Ep.26 - Note To Self: 6am Selfie🤳🏾
#InMyMind: When I talk, to myself, I listen! Lol! Riding around at 6am and I had no one to talk to so I decided to talk to myself to talk to y’all. I said to myself, I said self, what in the hell are we doing up at 6am in the morning, crack a dawn and morning yawning! Then I laughed.
On a serious note, to self, if we want different things we have to do things differently. That is it, that is the difference. There aren't any advance techniques.
We tell ourselves that if we learn these advance techniques, we think have the keys, but the key is having the basics down. Mastering the fundamentals. Once we have that part down, we are good to go to the next level!
The next level is determined on a simple equation I call the P.I.E. model. I learned this equation from Harvey Coleman who wrote "Empowering Yourself: The Organizational Game Revealed" and this model is broken into 3 parts P for performance, I for image, E for exposure and each part has the following percentages (10%, 30%, 60%) respectively.
We now know that mathematics is God's language since the numbers don't lie, but they don't tell the whole story either. #Message

At any point of my life, you would say you know me, but all of these different people from these different places would have a different version of me in their minds.

November 15, 2018 S1. Ep.24 - My Morning Commute/My Morning Commune (In My Mind: Tales From The BMW)
#InMyMind: A bonus episode just for my Anchor listeners...Inspiration abounds! Last night I was inspired by a post put up by my friend, @HeIsBlanchard aka FreeBlanch, and in the video post it showed pictures of beautiful black women while playing his song, Witchu', in the background.
Also on display in this post were paintings of art work from the art collection of The Art of Base @the_artofbase my best friend for over 30 years. Man this dude's hands are truly touched by God.
While I was looking at his post all I could think about was the fact that I have some AMAZING people in my life. People that inspire me and encourage me to push harder and go further. People that motivate me to create!
All this inspired me to produce a new segment for In My Mind: Everybody Knows Chris called "My Morning Commute/My Morning Commune (Tales From The BMW)" which stands for "Black Man's Wheels" in a "Black Man's World." Just sharing my thoughts and perspectives from a black male's point of view. I hope you enjoy it.

#InMyMind: You too could be a winner at the game called LIFE and you're in the great game now, so if you're gonna play, play to win. What's the prize you ask?! Duh, more life! Ok then, what's the grand prize? Duh, life more abundantly!
Life is the highest pay-for-play game where the stakes are life and death. Life and death, the great divide, where both are represented in the physical, the mental and the spiritual realms. We exist in the constant duality of both and we must learn to deal with both of them to win the great game.
Nall, this ain't the Hunger Games, but these games will have you hungry if you're not playing to win. Now you're either going to be hungry for more or just plain hungry, broke and destitute out on in the cold, I hope you have a lil' sweater.
Podfather!!! This is some heavy stuff! I know, let not your heart be troubled, like I said earlier, you too could be a winner at the game of life. But you can only win if you play to win, but make no mistake you will play and pay.
Now there are three ways you are going to pay-to-play the great game. You are going to either pay attention, pay homage or pay the toll, but you are going to pay. So if you are going to pay to play, play big and pay big because they both will get you PAID and everything else is DEATH!
