Before their performance at Betty’s I was able to do another solo interview with Johnny Lawhorn of Pentagram String Band and got to talk about everything from the history of the band to their outlook on religion and the world around them to hippies.
In a spur of the moment solo interview following their final (for now) show, I speak with The Taints about their history and favorite moments as a band, what comes next, and an attempt is made to explain the latest trend that continues to bewilder me.
Xenamorphine joins us for a discussion on everything from the worst song ever recorded to the history and goals of Glass Casket, and on the way we get sidetracked by horror, as one does.
We sit down with Outlook Bleak and after a discussion on that week in the scene and the PPD response to the Pacific Kava benefit show, we get to know the band and their writing process, their songs, and what they might be working on in the future.
Our very first solo episode where we get into a little bit of everything. It’s actually not just Superman, but there’s a lot of Superman.
Brax and Lord Fish Face stopped in for a spur of the moment interview after their Pensacola show where we talked everything from beloved pets to what it’s like to go on tour to what’s coming next. And of course our shared love of Pensacola. A very special thank you to Pacific Kava Bar for being as cool as they were and allowing us to record there on such short notice.
Stufy sat down for his very first podcast and we learned about his writing process, his toy making, what brought him to Pensacola, and why he chose the name Stufy. Also, the prophecy was fulfilled and my phone adamantly tried to change his name to “Study” while writing the episode title.
NOTE: We recorded on a different laptop than we normally do which led to audio gaps. We apologize for that and should be back to normal next episode.
Jondus850 stops by and we discuss everything from being a photographer in the scene to generational attitudes and changes to the MUTHAFUCKIN TRASH BALL!
Rob Goodspeed joins us and talks about everything from being Mr. Manager to the history and future of The Handlebar and the local music. And naturally our discussion found its way to Godfather II.
Kyker stopped by and we talked about everything from life to music to politics.
Note: The Disastrous Transgenderism show mentioned at the end has been tentatively rescheduled to August.
