We are joined by LSU Captain and star defender Shannon Cooke. We get a more unique story of upbringing as Shannon is from just outside London, England and actually got a late start on soccer surprisingly. We talk about how she developed quickly and found herself playing on big stages. We discuss why she chose LSU and just what the difference in cultures have been. Last time we had Hunter on he told his story and he was preparing to go to Ole Miss and now he’s at the top of the mountain. We are joined by New York Mets prospect and former LSU Tiger Paul Gervase. We talk to Paul about where he’s from and what it was like growing up. We find out Paul was a real late bloomer and that making it to where he is today took a lot of patience and hard work. We find out where she was raised, her Dad’s strong influence and how her and her twin sister pushed each other to strive for success. We talk her achievements in club and high school soccer, all while playing other sports and excelling academically. We find out why she chose Jones College and we talk about her time there which like club and high school was extremely successful. Then we transition to where she went to Miss St but had to overcome adversity of a significant injury before she got her time to shine on the field. We dive into getting her degree at Miss St and now how she is using her last 2 years of eligibility to play soccer for Southern Miss and ultimately get her Master’s Degree. Esmeralda really shows young aspiring girls how to strive to achieve your dreams. We of course finish by playing an entertaining game of this or that. We talk about his time there and then how he ended up at Northwest Florida State with former guest Dylan Delucia and the success they had. Then we dive into his short time at Georgia before a significant injury but how that did not stop him from being drafted in the 13th round by the New York Mets this year.
