Bring the tissues and prepare to get in touch with your emotions. This episode we are feeling the feels. These books claim to make people downright sob, will that happen to us? Kristia's book is all about second chances and first impression. Rachael's book is on neglect and the feeling power of letting someone in and taking a chance on them, also possible aliens.
Books Discussed:
Reminders of Him by Colleen Hoover
Where the Forest Meets the Stars by Glendy Vanderah
Life has been a bit hectic for Kristia and Rachael but what better way to feel accomplished than knocking out a short stories. Even better when it's a TEN OUTTA TEN! Rachel's book keeps it's character names to itself while a daughter is telling us about her life with her, maybe a witch (probably a witch), mother. It's all about coming of age.

It was an accident... until it became an even bigger issue when the Aunties get involved and help cover up the crime. But, what are families for. The killer in our second book has no family, nature vs nurture anyone? This killer is all about cataloging smells and he wants to be the only one who possesses that certain spell, so ya gotta die, #sorrynotsorry

April Showers Bring May Flowers. Or where we live, April showers bring more May showers.
Anywhos, this episode we've gotten our inspiration from that saying and embraced it with our covers! Rachael is all about the April Showers this round. Her book is a psychological thriller, a mom goes missing, or did she just run away, lets see what her husband has to think about that. Her family has been unkind to her since an accident killed her youngest daughter, maybe she'll just stay away.
Kristia is bringing in the May Flowers and taking you on the adventure of a lifetime. It's just a few days boat ride to a small island with a disturbing past. People say not to stay for long because it starts to warp you mind. But when you're in your early 20s where else would you go for an adventure. Just be sure to watch your back! Nothing is what it seems.

Don't Look for Me by Wendy Walker

If you prick us, do we not bleed? If you tickle us, do we not laugh? If you poison us, do we not die? And if you wrong us, shall we not revenge?
This episode is all about revenge. Revenge on the men who killed our children, on those who bullied our babies to take their own lives, revenge on those who hurt others and were never punished. It pulls us back into a life we thought we had left for good, a place that is part make-believe and part real world, where we must trust our own instincts to save those we love.
Books Discussed:
The Collective by Alison Gaylin
Mirrorland by Carole Johnstone
We've made it out of the dreary Winter and it's finally Spring! What better way to ring in the new season than with books Mother Nature would approve of?! We've got environmental-spring-related books this episode. There are plenty of similarities between the two: small flyover towns, health issues among the town folk accepted as "normal", strange tasting water, and a lot of other orange (to be polite) flags! Listen it to get enraged with us!
