We try to make long-range decisions with our children in mind, but honestly, we mainly hope it works out for them because we probably won’t be around. Pastor JD will be teaching from a passage in Nehemiah, where it is inferred that a decision some Israelites made to leave exile and return to their homeland worked out well for their descendants.

We, like Israel, want to do right by God but either through neglect and apathy or outright rebellion we end up on the wrong trail.
