We are all sinners in need of a Savior. And God, in His love for us,

wanted to make a way for us to be forgiven. So He sent His only

Son, Jesus. And now through Him we can receive salvation...we

can have hope! It is God's desire that NONE would perish, but He

leaves that decision in each of our hands. Which will you choose? Life or death.

In the book of John we learn that in the beginning was the Word and

the Word was WITH God and the Word WAS God. Later on in that

same passage we learn that the Word became flesh. And from this

reading, we understand the WORD to be Jesus. So now ask

yourself this question. If Jesus IS the Word...then shouldn't we desire to live ACCORDING to the Word?

In the book of Matthew we learn that blessed are those who are

persecuted because of righteousness...for theirs is the kingdom of

Heaven. And so it's with this truth that we can have endurance in

our times of trial and persecution. It's with this understanding that

we can have the hope of Heaven. So believer, let's not fear persecution.

Christians, our lives aren't just about us. Sure, Jesus came to save

us from OUR sins, but that wasn't just for OUR good. We've been

saved and sent on a mission. A mission to live out the truth of

God's Word...in ALL life's circumstances so that others could see

the work of HIS life-changing grace in and THROUGH us.

When things aren't going our way...when trials and hard times fall

on us...how do we react? If we're being honest...most of us would

admit to being discouraged, upset and even angry. Well in today's

message...we'll learn of how Paul and Silas were beaten and wrongfully imprisoned. But what did they do in the face of adversity? They praised God.

God loves His children. And it's His desire that ALL their needs be

met. So whatever your needs are...ASK! Seek Him in prayer and

He'll give you what you need...in His timing. Now don't confuse

needs with wants. These are two totally different categories. Our

Heavenly Father will give us all that we need...as He sees fit.
