Netflix dominates Reel News, which features a riveting live commentary on the streaming giant's tumbling stock price. 

The Outfit is the best film of the year that you probably haven't heard of and it's the main review for this episode. A thrilling yarn that seamlessly stitches together multiple narrative threads, with pockets of action and plenty of twists up its sleeve.

For starters, we tuck into what we've been watching. Have you ever wondered what an animated series about bathing innovations would look like? Then wonder no more as James reviews Netflix's Thermae Romae Novae. Elsewhere, HBO's Somebody Somewhere is under the spotlight for some much deserved UK attention. Meanwhile, Dan reflects on Gordon Ramsey's Apprentice wannabe show Future Food Stars which isn’t the best that Britain has to offer but thankfully isn’t the worst unlike Jimmy Savile: A British Horror Story (a comment on the man and not the quality of the show itself).

For our Mains, we digest Marvel breaking Guinness World Records, ponder over a film we won’t get to see for another 100 years and rejoice in the announcement of Apple TV's Severance Season 2.

And finally for Desert, the much needed icing on an audio cake…. It's Fresh! Disney+'s latest exclusive film which sees Daisy Edgar-Jones and Sebastian Stan developing a blossoming romance but all may not be as it seems… Trust us and go in blind to this one, you will be rewarded.

The neverending quest for more content leads Dan to Norwegian crime thriller Wisting, and Pieces of Her on Netflix. James reviews Slow Horses and the little known but highly rated Vida.

Just before it leaves cinemas, horror film X caught our attention and is this week's main review. 

For our watchlist this week, James finds himself enchanted by Pixar's latest film Turning Red but has mixed feelings on Apple TV's WeCrashed and Jared Leto's unusual appearance. Dan mourns the loss of Jeremy Kyle after watching Channel 4's Death on Daytime documentary and sticking with depressing yet rewarding content he also delivers his thoughts on Mass, which sounds like a future contender for film of the year...

Like much of the film loving world we're still reeling from Will Smith's Oscar's behaviour and the lesser talked about shock of Coda winning best film. For Reel News, we unpack the simultaneously ugly and beautiful turn of events.

For our main review Michael Bay is back in the directors chair to give us another deep character exploration piece about the nature of humanity. Ok so that might be overstating it a bit, but surely his latest film Ambulance has enough explosions and bullets to warrant a trip to the cinema?

After an unplanned two-week hiatus we're back to doing what we like to think we do reasonably well, reviewing the latest but not necessarily greatest content for our dear listeners. James scrapes the barrel of streaming services and delivers some rather lukewarm thoughts on Last One Laughing Canada, then goes more mainstream with a surprising turnaround in quality for Season 2 of Picard. Elsewhere, Dan laps up everything related to toxic relationships with Deep Water and Bad Vegan.

Reel News is a free-flowing discussion of Rebel Wilson's epic Bafta hosting failure, William Hurt's untimely death, and Netflix's recent price hike/lockdown on sharing logins. We didn’t do our research and it shows but we like to think it makes for an interesting conversation.

For our main review, we revisit an old friend in a different form. Matt Reeves is the latest director to tackle the beloved Batman Franchise. Will his interpretation of the world's greatest detective be fresh enough to warrant a brand new trilogy of films or will we be left yearning for Christopher Nolan to come back and save The Batman?

As current world events plunge us into further uncertainty you can always rely on In The Aisles for a weekly dose of normalcy.  This week it's a mixed bag of strong recommendations amidst heartfelt condemnations. James gives his initial thoughts on Apple TV's Severance, the Kanye West documentary Jeen-Yuhs and The Legend of Vox Machina. Elsewhere Dan regretfully reviews Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Cat Burglar, and the latest film addition to Disney+ No Exit.

Reel News takes a backseat this week as we wade through the debate over which singular streaming service we would choose to take with us on a remote desert island. Don't get it twisted, choice is a good thing, but perhaps there's just too damn much of it and these everyday folks/hosts just want a simpler world with streamlined options.

Finally, Steven Soderbergh's latest offering Kimi takes center stage and opinions look to be divided amongst critics and viewers. Who will we side with? Or will we remain stereotypically British and sit on the fence to avoid any potential fallout?

With the world on the brink of war, now is the best time to bury our heads in the endless stream of content. 

Dan gets hooked by the Tinder Swindler and has a surprising amount to say about free YouTube horror/thriller Shut In. James puts Inventing Anna on trail, and gushes over underappreciated comedty-drama As We See It. 

In Reel News, the hosts try to muster enthusiasm for Amazon's Lord of the Rings and the recently announced slate of Paramount+ content, including 14 South Park films. 

Entering vey much charted terrority, the Uncharted main review features a bountiful abundance of comparisons to the beloved game series. But can taken as an isolated piece of corporate-produced media, can the Tom Holland adaptation get a recommendation?

Due to a lack of communication and poor organisation, Dan & James watch the same content and proceed to stumble their way through the watchlist segment. Firstly, we pay a visit to Murderville for a slice of improv murder mystery shenanigans courtesy of Netflix's latest comedy. Then we talk about the BBC's latest Psychological Thriller Chloe starring Ehrin Doherty. Finally, we give an assessment of Amazon's attempt to relegate Tom Cruise into obscurity by reinventing the Jack Reacher legacy with the aptly titled Reacher.

Awards Season is upon us and we use this as a chance to recycle news from the previous week. This time around, it's all about the Oscars. Lady Gaga misses out on a nomination leading James to react using his finest Poker face. Elsewhere, Uncharted reviews are out, will the video game adaption prove to be an epic adventure or a catastrophic failure?

For our main review, we dust off our astronaut gear and venture into outer space to review Ronald Emmerich's latest attempt to obliterate the earth and cinema as we know it, its Moonfall. Is it enjoyable popcorn nonsense or just straight-up nonsense? Pop us in your earholes and we'll let you know.

It’s a strictly Netflix week for one of us and whilst Jason Bateman continues to launder money for a Mexican drug cartel, Dan continues to watch him do so with Ozark Season 4. The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window is a show that features one of his all-time favourite actresses, but will her presence be enough to save this tonally confused murder mystery parody?

James stays closer to home and weighs in on whether Stephen Graham not being available for the BBC's The Responder is an issue or not. And with Valentine's day fast approaching he decides to take a chance on the greatest love story ever told, Pam & Tommy.

Reel News kicks off with some confusion about Rita Ora's bedroom habits before recentring on relevant content such as the recently announced Bafta nominees, a potential Madame Web Spider-man spin-off movie, and an already greenlit Scream sequel.

Finally, it's time for the main attraction. Guillermo del Toro has had a significant impact on modern film throughout his career but will his latest outing be a cinema experience we can only dream of, or will it be the stuff of Nightmares… We're reviewing Nightmare Alley.

Following the same format as the previous 86, this week opens with a discussion of some new streaming content. Dan takes on Archive 81, and digs into John and the Hole, while James reviews Japanese Netflix offering The Journalist and finds comfort in the familarity of The Apprentice. Then, without a hint of irony, the boys discuss the repetitive nature of Netflix's Harlan Coben adaptations. 

In the news section that acts mainly as a buffer between the two content review sections, there is talk of Fight Club's new Chinese ending, the Mission Impossible delay, and the new dramatic take on The Fresh Prince of Bel Air. 

The main review is Kenneth Brannagh's much-praised black and white comedy drama Belfast. Wouldn't it be funny if the hosts had completely contrasting opinions?
