  • Helping Sherry Meeks, the Author, Find Tambri
Check your Time Zone: 10:30 am Pacific, 11:30 am Mountain, 12:30 pm Central, 1:30 pm Eastern and Atlantic (during Daylight Saving Time).
Sherry Meeks writes short stories and novels. With her novel, Finding Tambri, she combines both forms by creating a novel in stories. Finding Tambri is the story of Tambri, a woman who suffers the loss of her young son and the disintegration of her perfect marriage to her high school sweetheart, Daniel. Although Tambri retains her sense of humor, she struggles with feelings of loss and guilt, and not being good enough for this world. Tambri discovers one wrong man after another, and her only condition is that each man doesn't have children.
An author’s tip from Sherry: “Ideas come from everywhere; the difficult part involves the recognition of an idea. If you pay attention to each situation that presents itself and your own reaction to a particular circumstance, you will discover idea after idea.”
Sherry, with her M.F.A. in Fiction degree from Southern New Hampshire University, lives in Georgia with her dogs, Abby and Skye, and is an instructor of creative writing.

He’s into platform-building experiments! And you know what!?! He’s sharing them with you.
His bottom line? “The bottom line is that right now, I am not sure where all of these platform-building experiments are leading. I do know that I am having a blast experimenting, growing, and making new friends along the way. Some of these experiments have been nerve-racking. In fact, I felt my anxiety rise when I started each one of these experiments. But this is normal.”

Welcome Jed Jurchenko and Our Coffee Shop Conversations Segment on Faith, Family, and Friendship
On the Coffee Shop Conversations Segment, you'll find freshly brewed wisdom to help you mature your faith, lead your family, and grow your friendships so that you and your family can live joy-filled, Christ-honoring lives. Grab a cup of coffee, tea, or other favorite beverage, and join us every Monday morning!
Now, according to Jed, “Walt Disney is a man who led with a limp. He didn’t deny his flaws, try to hide them, or pretend that they didn’t exist. His limp was there for the world to see. Yet, he succeeded anyway!”
Jed’s curious what was on Walt’s mind when he spoke about his “kick in the teeth.”
The best way to blog with a limp is to begin taking action. The first few steps are always the most difficult. Everything gets easier from there. Disney stated, “The way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing.”
Momentum is like a steam-engine. At rest, a small, slanted block, under the front tire, will hold that engine in place. However, moving at full speed, that engine will crash through most any barrier.
Let’s find out together what Jed has to say about how “leading with a limp will help us in our faith, family, and friendship.

  • Dr. Anita Nahal, the Diversity Queen, also an Author
Note the time in your Time Zone. Show airs at 7:00 am Pacific, 8:00 am Mountain, 9:00 am Central, 10:00 am Eastern, 11:00 am Atlantic.
What Is Diversity? According to Dr. Anita Nahal, “The answer to this question can be simultaneously challenging and confusing, depending on one’s frame of reference. However, it is essential that we grapple with the meaning of diversity in order to understand its challenges and complexities."
In fact, there can be diversity in almost anything we can think of: what we wear, say, do, eat, and the list goes on indefinitely. Diversity is also a state and conditioning of the mind. And this, in turn, frequently leads to misconceptions and biases.
Anita Nahal, PhD, CDP, teacher/professor, administrator, writer, publisher, and mentor for over 25 years, has a doctorate in US History and is a Certified Diversity Professional (CDP).
Dr. Nahal, with significant work on diversity and multiculturalism, was honored by the Society for Diversity as the Member for the Month of March 2013. The write up is available at:
    http://societyfordiversity.org/uploads/ANahal_Member_Profile.pdf
A previous winner of 2 diversity-related awards at Howard University included the Cultural Diversity Awareness Award (2006) and the Unsung Hero Award (2007).
With numerous diversity-related publications, Dr. Nahal’s research (along with co-PIs) include a major quantitative study on diversity at Historically Black Colleges and Universities which was published as a chapter in a book in 2015.
