  • What did Essendon learn from their win against Adelaide

It is very rare on 'Mammoth Losers' we decide a winner is a loser but the Essendon Football Club won a game they would have lost in previous years but to a depleted Crows line-up we discuss why this win could be costly in the future matches coming up in the Footy Carnival.

  • Is A Queensland Grand Final Likely

The odds of Queensland hosting the 2020 AFL Grand Final have seemingly shortened, with the league reportedly putting in “logistical plans” to host this year’s showpiece game in the northern state if Victorian’s COVID numbers continue to rise.

Accommodation and venue bookings in Queensland have been booked until the end of October and Western and South Australia have not been included in such plans.

The Giants and Swans have had to evacuate New South Wales and fly to Queensland after Queensland announced it would close its borders to Sydney siders on Saturday 1am.

Queensland will have 14 AFL clubs in Hubs so the real question is do they deserve to host the biggest week on the AFL Calendar or does that right belong to the top finishing sides and if they're not from Victoria host in their home state?

James Hird found form after a horrid week in 2004 when he faced up against the rising West Coast Eagles at the Dome. Michael had inspired Hird with one of his own celebrations mesmorising the home crowd, a wink from the Essendon champ to Michael signified the celebration was received loud and clear. Listen to hear how the whole evening unfolded.

  • Does Getting Slapped Before A Match Work - Bring It Back

On this week's edition of 'Bring It Back' we looked at the Saints deep breathing exercises that seemed to give them the psychological edge on the weekend but does a slightly more aggressive approach work too?

John Henderson a BIG NFL player use to like getting slapped to get him PUMPED before a game.

The trainer arguably looked more nervous than big Johnny did and personally on th show we don't blame him either.  be afraid of he’d throw one right back at me.

If it gets you in the zone than we can't argue with that!

  • Can Hawthorn Recover in Season 2020 - Mammoth Losers Round 8

The boys identified major change at the selection table and potentially in the pre-season for the Hawks, they had their chances in the final 5 minutes to beat a very young Sydney Swans side but couldn't find the clean kicking skills they've previously been famous for. The pressure has been building for the Hawks but with a game against Carlton in Perth next week, we identify there's hope for the Hawks.

  • Considerable Winners & Mammoth Losers - Round 8

Knock, knock whose there... Owen ... Owen who ... Owen The Saints Go Marching In. The Mighty Sainters are flying in 2020 and could theoretically be 7-1 with some horror losses to bottom 8 sides, the Saints won two crucial matches in Adelaide with a hostile crowd in and showed the ladder leaders the Power who is boss.

The flag favoritism has dramatically shifted to the West Coast Eagles who recorded a comprehensive 66 point victory at the expensive of a Collingwood side missing some of it's key stars, when tall men have struggled this season in the Coleman Medal, one man reminded us it's a big man reward ... take a bow Joshua J. Kennedy.

When there are Considerable Winners, there are Mammoth Losers however for a change this round there were no major blowouts hence we decided to be a little nicer to our losers. The boys identified major change at the selection table and potentially in the pre-season for the Hawks and as for the Bombers they beat the bottom of the table Crows but Frisey believes that this win could give the club some false hope going forward especially against their tricky opponents in the next fortnight.
