In The Circle episodes

  • It's A Bird, It's A Plane, It's Super #Mayhem

We are down to eight teams left in Division 2 and 16 each in D1 as well as D3. On this episode of In The Circle, we will break down all three divisions in one episode (because we can). First, Wayne Cavadi joins the podcast with his thoughts on Division 2 National Championships in Chattanooga and what teams have the best chance to win it all.

After that, we are joined by ESPN's Maura Sheridan who was on the call for Washington's historic comeback Sunday with Nicole Mendes. She reflects on what she saw in Seattle throughout the weekend. She also looks back at meeting the moment as a broadcaster as Washington's comeback was happening.    Eric and Victor take a look at each Super Regional and make their predictions. Some of the picks will surprise you. Victor also looks at a couple of Super Regionals in Division 3 and we have some announcements to share.

  • A Sunday for the Ages

After witnessing one of the wildest Championship Sundays in recent memory, we have a few things to get off our chest. On our latest episode of In The Circle, Victor has strong thoughts on the NCAA's treatment of schools once eliminated and how one school called out ESPN about their lack of caring for their journey to the tournament.

We then recap a dramatic Sunday, including the Miracle at Montlake, some questionable umpiring, and UCLA going 0-2 in Los Angeles. We also break down LSU and Louisiana's epic doubleheader, which had questionable calls and more proof that we need to seed 32 teams.

  • #D2Thursday...Yes, Again!

Now that we've figured out our Super Regional matchups, Victor Anderson breaks down all eight showdowns on this special Division 2 edition of In The Circle. He shares his key players to watch and predicts who will advance to Chattanooga next week. Hopefully, he can fare better than his picks last week, where he got only 10 of the 16 Super Regional teams correct.

  • They Got Seeded WHERE? Wait, They're A WHAT SEED?

We knew coming into Selection Sunday, and we would see some very controversial decisions. NOBODY was prepared for what actually happened. We will attempt to make sense of all of it in today's episode. Justin McLeod joins Eric Lopez and Victor Anderson as they look at the Field of 64, the reasoning behind Alabama's No. 5 seed, why Louisiana didn't host (and Clemson did), and some of the other juicy topics that came up on Sunday night.

Plus, we will replay our interviews on Selection Sunday night with Caylan Arnold and Dorian Craft.

  • It's Postseason...Season

We are less than a week away from Selection Sunday and appear to have more answers than questions. As conference tournaments begin this week, we are preparing to answer some of those questions. On this episode of In The Circle, we preview the inaugural Pac-12 Tournament, where Arizona will look to avoid missing the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 1986.
Pac-12 Network analyst and former Wildcast Kenzie Fowler joins the podcast to preview the tournament and her thoughts on the national landscape.

Eric Lopez and Victor Anderson briefly review the rest of the Power 5 conference and the upcoming ASUN, Sun Belt, and American Conference tournaments this week. Plus, the guys have an announcement about where they will be this weekend.

  • May The Fourth Be With You

It's setting up to be one of THOSE postseasons. We will have you covered on this episode of In The Circle. Today, we share our thoughts on USA Softball's Top 10 Player of the Year Finalists. The guys continue their campaign to add a Pitcher of the Year and Player of the Year. Plus, they give their thoughts on who will be in the Top 3 and who should have been added to the list.

Eric Lopez chats with Central Arkansas Head Coach Jenny Parsons, who has the Sugar Bears as the #1 seed in the ASUN Tournament next week in DeLand. She joins In The Circle to reflect on UCA's outstanding 2023 season, her 1-2 punch of Jordan Johnson and Kayla Beaver, and much more.

Eric and Victor Anderson have thoughts on Bracketology and the Division 2 Regional Rankings in what could be one of the most drama-filled Selection Shows in recent memory.

  • Clear As Mud

As we officially enter May and its usual Mayhem, we attempt to clear things up on our latest episode of In The Circle. Does Northwestern have a shot at a Top 8 National Seed? Is Clemson in trouble in terms of hosting? Will the SEC get all 13 schools in the field? Those are just some of the questions that will be discussed on the podcast. Eric Lopez's chat with UCF's Sarah Willis after a perfect weekend (pun intended) against Houston. Also, Victor HATES obstruction (don't we all), and we have thoughts on the ASUN entering the final weekend of the regular season.
