Perhaps, for Casey Jennings, it has something to do w his life mantra: “There will never be a time when your life is not this moment.”  Lets find out what has  allowed him to navigate raising 3 kids (Joseph (10), Sundance (9) and Scout (6)) while his wife Kerri Walsh-Jennings battles it out on the beach volleyball court for her 4th run at Olympic Gold.  It’s as if 3 Gold Medals wasn’t enough J

Today, we continue the conversation with a force to be reckoned with on the personal growth scene.  Years ago, myself and thousands of others were entranced with his “movement-inspired” videos about a new way to live and love.  Through #LovesVoice, he was reshaping the way we look at LOVE’s frequency and who we can BE in relationships. 

I became inspired that this Preston Smiles character speak at my company’s annual conference in Australia - as I knew his message needed to be heard by more people.  So, without any other way to reach him, I commented on a social media post of one of his videos and…he messaged me straight back.  I’m convinced there was divine cooperation at work as next thing you know, him and his electric partner Alexi were sitting on our balcony overlooking the Brisbane River.

Today, we continue the conversation with a social entrepreneur – one who likes to push the boundaries, test the validity of the rules and be a non-conformist – and she’s from Switzerland! This woman eats “contrasts” for breakfast!!  One minute, she’s dressed up for a speaking engagement in Sydney CBD, and the next, she’s riding her motorbike through on a dirt track in Turkey!  

Franziska Iseli’s jump into entrepreneurship began in 2008 with a phone call from her brother Reto in Switzerland where he had to break the terrible news that their 58yr old father had suddenly passed away from a heart attack.  She broke down… As she began walking the cliffs of the Northern Beaches, the question that kept visiting her was: ‘If I was to die right now, would I be happy with my life?’ She had to confess that ‘No! I can do better than this, I can make a bigger impact.’ So she quit her career in advertising and started her current company Basic Bananas which is “small business marketing made simple”.

Her main purpose in life is to have an impact, add value and make people smile. Whether its her “Ripple Effectors” brand or her new inspiration “Moments of Humanity” or her upcoming book launching early next year on Courage, this girl continues to challenge the status quo and somehow manages to be a non-conformist who FITS IN!

Franziska Iseli sat crossed legged on her living room floor eating breakfast after an early morning surf at Narrabeen on Sunday 17 February 2008 when her phone rang. It was her brother Reto calling from Switzerland. He told her their father had suddenly passed away from a heart attack—he was 58. ‘I have no idea how my brother made that call to me,’ Franziska says. ‘It must have been so hard to share such incomprehensible news with his little sister across the other side of the world.’

Franziska’s world broke down for her. She spent a lot of time in the following months walking along a cliff top on the Northern Beaches. She was soul searching, questioning the way she lived her life. ‘If I was to die right now would I be happy with my life?’ was a question that kept coming up. ‘No! I can do better than this, I can make a bigger impact.’ So she quit her career in advertising and started Basic Bananas.

Today, we continue the conversation with a women who experienced something so intense yet turned it into the fabric of her gratitudes for life.  Allow me to begin with Nicole Hintz’ written words of the chilling day that shaped the rest of her life…

“Early one Saturday morning, as a 16-year-old, I rode my bike up to the steepest hill to Lyn and Charlie’s house, which I did every second Saturday to clean their house. Lyn and Charlie were a hardworking couple who lived on a farm, so they were very early risers. Lyn gave me a job cleaning her house and was

teaching me how to save. I would clean the house for two-and-a-half hours, completing all items on a list, and at the end she would deposit money into a bank account she opened for me. Together we would then add up how much I had saved. We would also do craft together and sell what we made at the markets on a Sunday.

This particular Saturday morning I arrived at their home, knocked on the door, called out and went inside. There was no reply so I went down to the shed but again couldn’t find them. I returned to the house and called my Dad, who I woke up, and said: “Dad, I can’t find Lyn and Charlie”. We both thought it was strange, but didn’t think much of it. I began cleaning the house; wiping down all the services. I noticed empty bullet shells down the hallway so I picked them all up not really thinking much of it. They were country people, who had parsley crops, and I knew they’d had problems with hares recently, so I just assumed Charlie had gone out hunting during the night and dropped the shells. While I was in the hallway, I noticed their bedroom door half open so I called out again but still there was no response. I peeked around the door and could see they were still in bed. I didn’t think it was normal, but I continued cleaning anyway and I would check on Lyn and Charlie from time to time. I even looked to see if there was movement, which I thought I’d seen at one point.A little while later, Gavin, Lyn and Charlie’s second son, had come home and asked me where his mum and dad were. I said they were still in bed asleep. He looked at me with a puzzled look and went down to the shed and caravan where he lived. More time passed. Gavin came back to the house and asked me if they had woken up. By this time I was a little worried and Gavin appeared to be worried too, so we both went down to their bedroom and opened the door. Today, we continue the conversation with an erotic artist.  I know, you can’t imagine me interviewing someone with this resume – but wait till you hear the whole story and you will understand why I had to bring her journey to the light of day! 

Anita Nevar taught herself art in 2011 where she achieved international acclaim through various books and magazines, adorned the walls in the Big Brother TV series and was the face of Sydney LGBTQ Mardi Gras. But it was what going on a couple years prior to this that makes it so incredible…  

Raised in a cult here in Australia, she ended up marrying a man 13yrs older than her and birthing her two daughters.  In 1999, after enduring 9yrs with this abusive man, she rounded up her 3 & 5yr old girls in the middle of the night and bolted from the only life she knew into an UNKOWN world which she’d only ever been taught was EVIL! 

So, as a solo Mum, she started fresh and began building a new life. Spending 10yrs with another man and having her third child, she continued to uncover new pieces of herself as she shed the wounds of the past.  With her art, she is bold, brash and not afraid to test the boundaries – a far cry from where she came from.  I can’t wait to discover how that transformation actually happened…

Ryll Burgin-Doyle started consulting at the ripe old age of 21. Today, we continue the conversation with the bestselling author of “What If? From Death to Destiny”.  The thing that makes this book title so staggering is that its her autobiography –describing her unprecedented release of 452 pounds (205kgs) over the last 5yrs. After major medical issues, she was put in palliative care and left to die.  She felt that her grave headstone would probably end up reading “Death by Potato Chips” as (quote) “The Pits of my hell had been opened and I proceeded to eat my way in”.

Hailing from Kentucky, USA, she has been featured in ‘Time’ magazine for her incredible body transformation. But she describes in her book that even after three years into her nutritional cleansing program where she had released 400 pounds (182kgs), she was still uninspired – bc she hadn’t yet changed her thinking and had yet to accept that for the past 38yrs, she had been playing a big ‘ol pretending act!

Educated in Clinical Psychology & Behavioral Analysis, I am so curious about a woman with so much knowledge who could still literally eat herself to death from the pain of her past!

Today, we continue the conversation with a woman who is living proof that out of the tattered ego of failure rises your dreams.  Today, she is the co-founder of Property Alchemy with her husband of 16-years where they bustle about parenting 3 kids; you’d be surprised to note that while relentlessly trying IVF almost 10yrs ago, the business her and her husband had built and grown for 5yrs, came tumbling down.  And as they say, when it rains, it pours! 

When their company went under, Penelope Valentine and her husband committed to paying back each and every person they owed money to and are proud to say they have now done it!  That one child that inspired them to not give up on IVF, has now swelled to three kids and life has become about teaching others that FAILURE should not be feared or avoided but rather accepted and understood.

Today, we continue the conversation with a homegrown happy girl.  Growing up in Maryland surrounded by love and family, she put her athletic talents to good use by playing Varsity volleyball and then walked into adult-life doing what she loved: teaching.  There was no devastating life event or tumultuousness that occurred for Becca Lynn Johnson but rather, a gentle nudge asking her “is there more to this life?”  

Founder of Performance Kids in 2009, her entrepreneurial gene started to express.  Going deeper within herself to answer that consistent tapping from God, she went on to not only create a multiple 6-figure income in network marketing but also her first podcast & mentorship program called Rooted in Reason.
