Bob Tanem In The Garden with Edie Tanem is On The Air!  The first half our show this morning featured a guest; Sarah Blunt is with Integrated Community Services, and she uses the gardens at New Beginnings to engage with people with disabilities.  This also helps the gardens with volunteer labor, creating a natural symbiosis; job training, work experience and mentoring for trainees, and supporting productive gardens for the programs to use.

Following the guest, callers from around the Bay phoned in with gardening questions for Edie Tanem.  Musical interludes have been excerpted from the program to protect those who require it.

Welcome to Bob Tanem In The Garden with Edie Tanem; our guest this morning is Jeff Harris of the San Francisco Orchid Society, here to tell us about the upcoming Pacific Orchid Exposition Show and Plant Sale.  The event will be held in San Francisco at the County Fair Building at 1199 9th Avenue in San Francisco; a gala preview night for those 21 or older will happen on Thursday February 15 from 6 until 9 pm; the show then opens to the public on Friday the 16th at 10:00 am, closing at 5 pm on Friday and Saturday and at 4 pm on the final day of show sunday the 18th.

There's a lot to see and do and hear and and learn and yes even buy at this event; orchid lovers are bound to have a great time and this, the regions' premiere event for orchid enthusiasts of all ages.
